"I think that we did our maximum this afternoon" - guess the driver!

Rosberg?

Nope... it's easy cause this guy seems to say it most weekends.

Oh. Fernando?

:yes::P

Woo hoo. What did I win?

Knowledge of which F1 drivers use which catchphrases most is your prize. :P

Fernando does say 'maximum' a lot. Do any of you remember or know which rally driver it was that said his run was 'maximum bad'?

One of the Finns i'd guess, Kankkunen...?

Everyone had written Ferrari's season off after the first 4 races, now Massa has stuck it in 4th on the grid. God knows where that has come from, while McLaren seem to have gone backwards. A panicking team perhaps just sticking new bits on and hoping they work?

Well, that McLaren has fundamental design flaws leading to a lack of grip in quick corners especially, so i'd expect them to struggle at Barcelona - which they are doing, Silverstone, Spa and the like...

As for Ferrari, the car seems to have improved (i'll be interested to see the fuel loads later, but Massa seemed to be genuinely on the pace of the front pack), but the people running the cars haven't improved. Shot themselves in the foot again today.

That McLaren is like the FW30 last season, expect it to be quick at Monaco though.

I never thought the Ferrari looked like a bad car. From the onboards, it looked a little knife edge, but then so have their previous two or three cars, but the balance didn't look bad like the McLaren or the BMWs. Ferrari have just been a joke so far, so many silly mistakes. McLaren have been doing a pretty good job with a poor car whereas Ferrari have been doing an awful job with a half decent car.

McLarens have always had strong mech grip so yeah hopefully their aero isnt a hinderance there :hehe:

yeah i can see where youre coming from, as seen again by the mistake with Kimi. make a mistake once is fair enough but to repeat it within 2 GPs isnt acceptable

I think it could go either way with McLaren at Monaco, their aero woes won't hurt them as much as at other circuits and the fact that they are lacking grip at the rear won't hurt too much either as an oversteery setup at Monaco is preferred by a lot of the drivers.

On the other hand, a car lacking downforce is going to struggle at Monaco and the McLaren to me seems to be low on traction which would also hurt them. The car doesn't seem to have a great turn-in either which is a must at Monaco. That last issue may be to do with them trying to get a good balance with their grip-deprived rear end. Overall, i think they will particularly struggle at Monaco but we'll see

Yeah i agree to an extent, shame from their point of view that there's no long straights like at Bahrain for the KERS, for me that system papers over many cracks... Canada would've been a very good race for them too. Still annoyed there's no race there this year. :( They might go well at the Nurburgring as well, that seems to be mostly long straights with not so many quick corners.

Yeah, I really don't understand what Ferrari are playing at right now. If they're worried about saving soft tyres, here's a clue. Used a scrubbed set at some point. Thats the others are doing, and Ferrari is no special acception. If it happens one more time, serious questions will be brought up and I'm sure serious action will be taken.

Fuel weights will be up in a moment. The file's there on the FIA sites, it's just not working properly yet.

Vettel is a bleedin Genius!

Both Vettel and Barrichello have a good chance of leapfrogging Button if they can stay close enough and put in some quick laps when Button peels off in to the pits. But the most surprising of all is Felipe Massa. Look at the weight he's carrying in comparison to the Brawn cars, it's almost unbelievable considering the position they were in earlier this year. It's a shame that Kimi isn't up there, though. He could have done something with that pace, too.
