People who think a driver and his manager can place and remove people in a team are very confused or conspirational. Looking at previous news, his move was something that seemed to be already in the works. Looks to me like it was just a matter of timing and chance that it happened in the middle of this mess.
On the other hand, he might have switched to McLaren Automotive a bit earlier than what he had in mind, just to steer clear of this brouhaha.
But Hamilton telling him to go? Nah, I don't think so.
F1 hasn't seen anything of the like of the Hamiltons, there are no previous examples that we can use to judge this situation. The economic value of Lewis Hamilton means that whoever is in control of Lewis wields a lot of power.

At the moment, it seems to me like McLaren have just made a big deal out of Ron Dennis leaving (which was happening anyway, they've just made it more public) to draw the press' attention away from everything else...

Ok i am new to these forums but i have been reading some of the comments for a few weeks now.I think it's time for me to post my views on some of your thoughts and my opinion on the matter.
1. Some of the hate for Lewis on these forum is just pathetic and make me question some of your real motives for hating someone who you have never spoken to or seen in real life. Yeah, lewis lied blah, blah, blah,let's be honest many of you hated him long before this incident and properly think he should been dunking hoops instead of racing around in a F1 car.If any of you really believe the media hype about him leaving McLaren then you are as thick as two short planks. So many gullible people believing the media hype it's actually embarrassing just reading some of your post,your hate is eating you up and blinding your judgement.
2. Are some of you so dumb that you really think McLaren haven't directed lewis in everything concerning the latest scandal,really come on,how freaking thick are some of you. Do you really think that Lewis wasn't following orders from the moment it happened. The first step was to get Lewis to up in front of the media and say sorry,which he has done.Yeah lewis was silly to go along with it but then none of you are talented enough to be F1 drivers and will never be in that situation,it hurts doesn't it,your hate is killing you..LOL
3. For you Jenson Fans,you sound pathetic when you talk about Jenson winning the F1 championship,you really do. Jenson button is a washed up playboy who has until Spain to keep winning,once the others get they're cars up to scratch,which will be very soon,button will have his bottom handed to him in a big way. Kimi , Masa Alonso and Lewis are 10 classes above him when it comes to talent,make no mistake Jenson is on borrowed time even with the great car they have,he just hasn't got what it takes to go all the way.
Jenson has had plenty of chances to prove himself over his career but instead he liked to be the playboy who never actually won anything,now all of a sudden he is a top driver..lol,it's pathetic to even think that. Jenson could not win a W..k in a brothel let alone the F1 title,yeah he has won the first two but winning the title is another thing all together.
Back to Lewis..Many of you seem to forget that he has been an outstanding driver long before he came to F1,he didn't just appear one day into F1 ,he earned it through fine driving and dedication. I think he will still come close to winning again this year and if he doesn't he will have many more titles over the years to come,after all he is at the start of his F1 career not the end like button. Many of you like to take the moral high ground but how many of you raving haters would lie if you ugly wives or girlfriends asked you to,or your boss at work?
Anyway this is my first post and it's a semi rant but it had to be said..
I look forward to watching you shuffle under your wives/girlfriend skirts as McLaren and Ferrari put brawn GP and Jenson the washed out playboy in they're place..
Oh my fcking god, i can't even be bothered to point out every piece of hypocrisy regarding 'hate' in your post. I take it you know JB and Hamilton personally then, if you are able to comment on their personalities while no one else is qualified to?
