No argument, it's difficult to undo years of conditioning, even if the signals changed so the attraction is still there without the overt signals. We are trying to answer a profound question, and I don't have a degree in behavioral psychology. My dog still looks for food in his bowl even after he's emptied it. I didn't intend to compare a dog's behavior to a man's behavior, it sort of happened on its own.
