Lewis kept to the racing line.

The picture shows Rosberg turning into Lewis.
Look at the position of his steering wheel when the contact was made.

Dirty b4stard imo.

Your sarcasm detector needs recallibrated.

Hammers pics above totally show lewis not leaving enough room and Nico trying to avoid contact without going off the edge of the track.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

is that a joke? Lewis on the racing line not leaving enough room to a guy who was completely behind him??? Maybe Lewis should have left room for Max Chilton incase he decided to attempt the corner from 18 places behind

Ah, good joke, I get it, shame there is not a sarcasm smiley

The sarcasm was about this from toto talking about Nico

He thought it was for Lewis to leave him space, and that Lewis didn't leave him space.

Ah ok, for a moment I thought that post was from another member :hehe:

Toto has come out to explain away Lewis' statement that Nico admitted making a point, however toto is saying NICO "thought" Lewis was squeezing hinm ( ) and was determined not to move out of the way to prove a point.

i.e. Nico didnt crash into him on purpose to prove a point but didnt move out of the way on purpose to prove a point :scratchchin:

"He (Rosberg) didn't give in. He thought it was for Lewis to leave him space, and that Lewis didn't leave him space.

So according to Nico, he didnt crash into Lewis but it was Lewis who didnt get out the way

Toto, obviously a clever enough guy to not publicly endorse the ridiculous argument put forward by Nico ""ominously"" concluded with this

It was deliberately taking into account that if Lewis moves or would open then it could end up in a crash. It doesn't change the scenario at all because the incident, as I see it, is not acceptable for us.

What is it about Germans and their interpretation of the rules? How hard is it to understand that Poland is a sovereign state?

One comment on Hamilton - his attitude was wrong all race, he should have had the "nothing to lose" mentality rather than the "lets give up" mentality he had!

Not at all, that was the right attitude... he's thinking about the entire season. There is no point wasting precious engine life when your car has lost 30-50 points of downforce (a lot), if a safety car had came out he would have struggled to overtake even the slowest of cars and what's worse is he would have and was eating through tyres like crazy.

They should have retired him MUCH MUCH sooner, it's better to lose no points or a few points rather than have a retirement in a race where you might be leading later in the season.

Apologies. I had to go out immediately after the race and only just finished watching the post race stuff and saw Lewis' interview. I didnt realise the damage was that bad he was no faster than Grosjean's Lotus. So in retrospect I agree and take back what I said about Lewis giving up.

I can see why the team kept him out though.

Yeah, I can see why they kept him out to an extent but even if a safety car had came out, he would have overtaken a few cars after the pit stops and then been a sitting duck with his tyres being eaten up on the first few laps.

Are you being sarcastic...?

"What we saw there was that Nico was not prepared to take the exit, and that caused the collision. That is not something we want to happen."

Nico knows that if he refuses to back out the corner there is a high chance that they both crash out, and he remains ahead on points - surely this is EXACTLY the same concept as MS worked out years ago???
#414178
Is the point he was thinking he was making to do with when he tried to pass hamilton at the end of Hungary and thinking 'I'm not backing out this time'?
#414179
Good "point" stoner, that is the only position that would make him look slightly less of a complete twat, but then it would confrm that he has even less racecraft than we ever thought

Nico is a weasel and does not deserve a WDC IMO, he was slimy in Monaco and was slimy here. I don't believe it was premeditated on his part, but he knew that were contact to be made, he'd come out the better for it. He took a calculated gamble and won, the FiA stewards know it, Mercedes knows it, Lewis knows it and the fans know it. He embarrased himself up on the podium and is even more laughable now defending his lack of talent. He's taken four poles and turned them into defeat. He lost the lead in turn one and showed he's got more desperation than talent.

He deserves to have the team sit him out or the FiA reopen the case and hand him a severe penalty. Purposely taking out his rival is an embarrassment. Mercedes' three pointed star needs some serious polishing after Nico's dragged it through the mud. The worst thing of all IMO is that he's once again robbed the fans from seeing a race.

I kinda figured out the point he was trying to make... Team orders didn't work in his favor 3 weeks ago so you know, why not take care of business on his own.
Okay, I'm still trying to figure that out. Played better in my head.

I wonder if it's not just this race the fans will be robbed of.
