Let's not forget that for the first nine years of Buttons carreer, he achieved nothing. Then he won the championship through a lucky technical break and all of a sudden, he thinks he's number one over the fastest driver on the grid....lol. Do me a favour.

I bet Button never wins another drivers championship and will drag McLaren down a hole imo. Perez will be the next in line to get Buttons insecurity full force.

I pity McLaren tbh.

I don't see this dramatic for McLaren.I think it'll not be better without Lewis but I am hopeful of Perez.Jenson can't drag him into a hopeless sitch.

Not you in the conspiracy club too!

Your postulating, with no real basis.

This is forumula1.com. If he didn't postulate, with no real basis, how could he ever hope to join the "in crowd".

Why can't he hang with me, rather than the "in crowd"

If he wasn't "world class" he wouldn't be in F1.

Button wasn't exactly a glowing success for the first nine years of his career. He's been at McLaren now for 3 years and hasn't looked like winning a championship. Let's not for get that Lewis nearly won it with McLaren in his first season and did win it second time out.

Do McLaren honestly think Button will win it for them anytime soon. They'd rather let their faster driver walk than make Button number two.

That tells me all I need to know about McLaren. They obviously don't want to win championships.

They are getting a far cheaper but quick driver, maybe the extra money will pay off.

Anyway, your not really comparing the relative speeds of the cars, Lewis didn't get that close to the championship in the same car as Button either.

Yeah 'cos we all know that Willimas and BAR/Honda were worlds beating teams back then.

You're postulating, with no real basis.

Not as good as the IT crowd.

Oh good, I thought you were implying Jenson has a habit of "dragging people into a hopeless sitch"

I've lost some trust in Jenson but still not in that thought!

He has.

Lewis is leaving partly, imo, because Jenson is so hellbent on being number one at McLaren, even though Lewis is the more talented.
McLaren seem to want this situation whereby you let your best driver leave and keep the deadbeat...lol.

I don't see Ferrari letting Alonso walk because they wanted Massa as number one.

Crazy logic from McLaren imo.
#325244
Why was Lewis not given priority over Jenson?? I find it unbelievable tbh.

You try and maximise your chances of winning. It's not about keeping fragile egos happy.
McLaren seem to want to keep Button happy at all costs, even if they don't win any championships.

Crazy logic.

In this race? Because Jenson was close and faster than Kobayashi and Lewis was way back.
