Vettel has announced that he actually didn't crack under pressure in Montreal, it was just a mistake in difficult circuit conditions. As for as I'm concerned, that's :bs:

He wouldn't have made that error had Button not been there, breathing down his neck. :rolleyes:

It's arguable whether what happened to Vettel at Montreal was a mistake at all. At that point, it wasn't enough he remain ahead of JB, he had to remain ahead of JB by more than 1 second , else JB would have had use of the DRS on the final straight, and Vettel could not possibly have held him off. Vettel drove as hard as was required to retain a 1-second lead for as long as the tyres would support it. Failing that, he'd have come no better than second regardless. When the tyres let him down, he managed not to wad it up.

It bears noting Vettel took his seventh pole today. No driver has ever taken pole ten times in a single season and failed to win WDC.
