yeah but even given that fact about the compound gap, from a distance or a person just turned on the tv is that white or silver?

its more logical to have no conflict what so ever, so the viewer knows straight away what is what. Given that doubt can exist then its just plain and simple bad design by Pirelli.

Oh come on now, we all know Martin will repeat the same technical information for at least 30 laps :hehe: Well that's what I notice anyway.

Unlikely, it'll be DC from now on. Martin is the lead commentator now, DC is the expert commentator.

McLaren reporting good wear rates. As were Ferrari I believe - Alonso in particular was getting good results with the Option.

Red Bull wear rates weren't as bad as some people thought they were after Q1 - Vettel hit some debris.

James Allen has some more details:
Meanwhile the Pirelli tyres held up longer than had been feared from the tests in Spain. Button did 29 laps on a set of hard tyres in the morning session and a 12 lap long run towards the end of the session saw degradation of just one second over the stint, 2.3 seconds allowing for fuel effect.

So what, 35 laps on softs for Perez? I can't believe he got them to last so long without ANY apparent major drop off in pace... None of the others seemed actually able to do that.

I think Sauber disagrees that you need 3 stops minimum

So do McLaren

Yeah but a 1 stop in a car with a very similar rear end to the 3 stopping Ferrari?
