Why is it that heiki is always a lot heavier than captain invincable ?? mccheaters has been donig it the whole season i think.

Captain-Invincible seems to prefer 2 stop and HK likes longer stints also this way McLaren have both strategies covered this way.

thats what mclaren is saying. I think its their way of keeping the two apart on track.. and then they say heiki doesnt perform

Any time Kovalainen has been given the so-called better strategy, he's bungled it. I would give Kovalainen as few responsibilities as possible. The guy is a loser and is lucky to even still be at a team like McLaren.

In terms of the race, McLaren have performed a lot better than expected, though I think the Red Bull's race pace could be slightly better. However, Vettel has made some gaffes this season and with Brawn's ineptitude \and gutless attitide rearing their heads yet again, he could be a little conservative, especially going into the first corner. Toyota's perfomance is decent, though they probably based their car around this track, so desperate are they for some kind of performance. I expect Trulli to fade away over the race, both because of his own abilties and the limitations of his car. With the quanity of fuel Rosberg has on board, he could be a contender for a podium spot.

The absense of testing is really starting to show and I do believe heiki has a lot more potential than we seeing at the moment. many of the rookies as well is suffering under this same rules that forbids inseason testing. F1-live has a topic where hamilton seems to be afraid to have a better team mate. kimi wont allow them to shortchange him like mclaren is doing to heiki most of the time. what say you ??

For a start i don't think Hamilton:

1. Has a say in who he gets as his team mate
2. is scared of Kimi he beat Alonso as a rookie in the same car..

I don't understand why do you keep bring this up, Why would Mclaren screw Hekki over?

Hekki is an average F1 driver at best he was ok at the end of 2007 but has been completely average since.

He is a very fast one lap driver but over race distance he is not consistent enough.

At Monza 09 he set the fastest lap fuel corrected now if we were on 2010 rules Hekki would of had the Monza pole.

He was in arguably the fastest car that day with the prime strategy so in a way the lewis was on the back foot.

But he went backwards almost from the start, now he set the Q3 lap in PARC femme conditions meaning Mclaren could not change the car, so how did Mclaren loose that race for him?

TBH Longbow I wud luv to c heiki with a different team able to challenge. I also have my reservations about heiki but I still feel mclaren is not allowing this guy to get anywhere. then there the ban on testing - really not helping anybody, alas it appears to be preventing growth in most of the upcoming guys abilities.
I am willing to bet you that while we know heiki has already come out and said mclaren not giving him the advantages they give hammie moer about this issue will come out in due course.

Am i the only one getting fed up with drivers saying the tracks are not safe as they dont have big enough run of areas, what a load of tosh ffs. Im also fed up with watching drivers that are noit good enough race its dangerous forget how much run of area there is and train some of these drivers how to drive correctly :banghead:

there no testing allowed so you cant expect any improvements at all.

I'm with you. They should replace the gravel traps with lakes and tell them to get on with it.

Has Rosberg's incident been sorted yet?

Yeah, no penalty. :)

The Japanese Grand Prix stewards have decided Nico Rosberg did not deserve a penalty and so the Constructors' Championship is still up for grabs.

Rosberg and Williams technical director Sam Michael were summoned by the stewards after the race following claims from Jenson Button that the German had set his best sector time during the safety car period.

Button reckoned he could have beaten the German had he been slower and the Briton expected Rosberg to be penalised.

A penalty would have given Button's Brawn team the title, as it needs just 0.5 points to clinch it and both the Briton and team-mate Rubens Barrichello would have moved up a position.

The stewards, however, deemed Rosberg had done nothing wrong.

"The Race Director reported to the Stewards that Car No 16, Nico Rosberg exceeded the time delta from when the 'Safety Deployed' message was displayed until crossing the Safety Car line," a statement from the FIA said.

"The Stewards met with the drivers and the team representatives and considered the telemetry data, GPS records, timekeeping and video evidence. This evidence showed a 'low fuel' message on the drivers display had overridden the time delta information preventing the driver from being able to accurately follow the timing information.

"However the telemetry data shows that the driver from a safety point of view had reacted adequately to the yellow flags and safety car boards. In view of this the stewards intend to take no further action."

Answer my question above then - how in Monza did the team mess up the race for Hekki?

Did Martin sneak into the PARC femme during the night and break things on his drivers car? - mean its not like they want that 3rd in the constructors.

Hekki has been in F1 since 2007 hes had plenty of time to get used to the car during dec - jan, feb testing in 08/09

Its the same rule for everyone and even with testing in 08 he was equally average then.

Funnily enough, I was in Woking pre-Monza and thought I saw someone looking like Whitmarsh in the shops buying dark clothes. I thought nothing of it at the time, but now you mention it he was also carrying a value tool-kit from Halfords... :scratchchin:

Dam! Sorry tony it looks like your right, perhaps he's been doing this since 2008?!

So Hekki is the true 2008 WDC not Lewis!

You should of took a picture, we'll need to get more information and show this to Max Mosley.

I'd include a covering letter when sending a picture of a person in dark cloths tho just in case he gets the wrong idea...
