Yeah, Hamilton and Alonso racing was mint, both pushing each other hard and both making errors! Actually they stopped the race from being completely boring...! :hehe:

Ya twas good. Heidfeld really disappointed me today. BMW were making the right decision to try pit him to fix his nose cone, he ruined Alonso's, Hamilton's & Kubica's chances of points today by staying out in a damaged car while at the same time destroying his own race.

Congrats to Redbull (both drivers), the crowd really enjoyed the Alonso/Lewis action, really pleased for Rubens, it was good to see him in front of Button for a change. **** knows what went on between Heikki and Boudais, both D.C and Martin were divided on who was at fault. It was nice at the end to see Lewis drive over to the enclosures and doughnut as a thank-you jesture for their loyalty. Massa looked really relaxed at the end in his jeans doing the interview with Jake and D.C and I was delighted for him to see him take fourth. Overall I enjoyed it, and I would rather see the British G.P there than at Donnington

But look at it this way - by stopping, he'd have been finishing down in 18th. He drove well to keep Alonso behind him and it was great to watch him putting his car in all the right places.

While impressive that he knows how to keep a faster car behind him he still cost his team mate 25 seconds. With BMW rumours floating about that he may be on the way out at the end of the season I don't know if that was the right call.

Massa's drive today was great. :cloud9: Kimi has got the better of Massa at the last 3 races during quali, but Massa has much stronger race pace now. Strange how things change.

Personally I really enjoyed the race today. Maybe its more because Massa and Vettel were doing well, and Button wasn't for a change :hehe: But really, there was indeed a good mid-field battle with drivers swapping positions.

Today was good for the championship. I was pleased to see Red Bull win a 1-2 be cause it keeps the championship alive. I thought that Alonso and Hamilton's battling was the only real highlight, and made the otherwise boring Grand Prix exciting.
I think a lot of people drove well today, and clearly Brawn had issues with Button's car, but to be honest, i was pleased to see Barachello finish ahead of him.
Hopefully Germany will be more exciting, and who knows, maybe by then off the track issues will be finally resolved one way or the other.

I guess the cameras missed quite a fair bit of action in the midfield between BMW, Renault, Toro Rosso and McLaren, it was ok from where I was watching. If only we could see the same kind of action upfront the race would have been better, I still think the OWT have got lots of work to do.

All in all it was a very enjoyable weekend made even better by Williams' competitiveness. When Hamilton got eliminated in Q1 there was a mass exodus of fans from the Copse stand that I was sat in.

Nakajima and Nico did a great job in qualifying, and were doing very well in the race until Kazuki's pace dropped off after his pit stop which was a shame. Good job by Nico too on a heavier load and being able to dispatch of the Trulli train immediately on lap 1, got great footage of his pass around Trulli. If only he could have dispatched Barrichello and pull away he would have stayed ahead of Felipe-baby, then it was quite a nervy few final laps when Button put on his prime tyres and homed in on both Nico and Felipe, but 5th is still a great result, better than the puny solitary point that Kazuki picked up last year in the FW30.

That Red Bull has turned into a bullet car, I knew they had massive upgrades but I didn't expect them to totally dominate and put the Brawns in the shade, but it's going to make the second half of the season interesting.

I picked up some Williams sunglasses for £5 from the fair, along with a nice piece of retro team-wear from 1990, the Canon Williams days. ;)

It was very nice to meet up with Ewan and Gareth his brother, we had some right laughs over the weekend particularly making fun of EJ and the fact he always manages to make time to moan about KERS in every BBC broacast, and the way he interviews people as if he's Jeremy Kyle.

It was nice to meet Racechick again too. :)

Tomorrow I'll upload some pics and try and upload some videos too, but I've still got my BTCC video from Croft to upload too, thanks to this crap internet connection. :P

OH. MY. GOD.
WHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

What an awesome race! I was watching from Club corner, where all the F1 action happened. I had a mad grin on my face for the whole race, especially those first twenty laps. Vettel and his Red Bull were a BEAST of a combination this weekend. Fastest guy out there on one of the heaviest fuel loads. Wow. I still can't believe it. I'm SO frickin' happy that he won my first GP :D And I'm glad Webber did well - LMFAO at his press conference comment about Kimi  .
Well worth all the money my boyfriend and I spent on RBR merchandise lol.

I'm going to watch the BBC coverage tomorrow to see what they picked up on. And to see if I was on TV :D

I want to go back next year!

Just got back :D! Was a Great Race I was watching from the Pit straight so was great to see Lewis and Alonso fight it out side by side. The atmosphere was brilliant even though the Brits struggled. It was nice to see the Williams give a strong showing 30 years after their first win I think both drivers did quite well. Was a great weekend they can't get rid of Silverstone it would be criminal and after listening to a lot of top people who were talking on stage at the after party it sounds like the GP will be back at Silverstone next year :D!

Quote Mark Webber at post Quali press conference

"Yeah, as you say, it's been a good weekend for us so far. I would have liked a slightly cleaner run on my last Q3 lap. Kimi (Räikkönen) was, I don't know, drinking some vodka or dreaming or something…"

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I never heard this gem from Webber until now, but that's pretty much all of us think when Kimi does something dumb during a race.
