Thanks for the support! Decision should come through by the end of the weak, although we were told the interview doesn't determine if you get an offer (ie you can't be rejected on the basis) but its used to judge whether the university accepts you if you miss your offer.

well I could go on all day about how I think I did, trying to read the interviewers mind etc, but I'm just going to wait and see. Really enjoyed the open day though, facilities and course looked class

The interview was at Manchester for Material Science and Engineering, at the moment I'm split between Manchester and Sheffield - my Sheffield interview sounds more serious- they called it formal (Manchester emphasised informal chat) and mentioned I would face some problem solving questions.

If you get an offer from Sheffield, take it! And if you do take it and need to know anything about being a student in sheff just give me a PM and I'll give you the low-down!

I have finally managed to stop smoking after 20 odd years of smoking of some form or another and not even a collapsed lung in my 20's got me to stop. Not smoked since the end of November now and don't think I'll go back.

Edit - Just got into Sheffield! More impressed as after looking around they were my first choice and unlike everywhere else my interview there actually determined if I got an offer or not.
