Today I finally made the move from two 24" TN LCD displays on my computer to a single 27" IPS LCD display. The difference in quality is mind-blowing and 2560x1440 is amazing (I believe this is the same as the new 27" iMac's Retina display, but a bit lower than the one on the 15" MacBook Pro; although I don't really like OS X, I had been eyeing up one of the latter despite the price tag). The only problem now is that my graphics card, which is no slouch, struggles to run games at this resolution with anything beyond 2x AA enabled. Trouble is, I recently downsized to a Mini-ITX build so can't fit some of the newer cards in, and the ones that will fit put out so much heat that it will cause problems.
