Maradona good; Pelé better; George Best
George Best? You're having a laugh. Or i am, at least.

He was an attacking midfielder is that agreed? I certainly think Maradona, Zidane and Sócrates were better players in his position. Sócrates is definitely arguable, but then he's one of my all time favourite players so i might be biased.
Maradona was far more technically brilliant that Best. IMO. I think Messi is too for that matter.
As for Zidane, i think he might well be the most complete football player ever, despite his temperament.
Without digressing too much, i'm not even considering players in other positions here! ( van Basten, Zico, Rivaldo, Maldini, Rivelinho, Ronaldo (back in his day anyway!), Weah, Bergkamp, Jarzinho, Eusébio etc)
Don't get me wrong, i think George Best was an amazing player but not really a close contender for the best ever.
I see...
You preffer "cerebral/efficent football" to "art/talented/skillful/gifted football".

That's so untrue i'm almost offended.Matt le Tissier is another one of my favourites and he is the basic epitome of flair football!
