Started a 10 week gym cycle today, had 6 weeks off.

Got some nice drugs to help me along the way but not from the Doctor :hehe:

First off I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for their support and kind words towards my pursuit of becoming a peace officer, thank you  .

So anyway I promised that I would keep everyone up to date so I thought I would share another tidbit with ya. I recieved an unexpected call today from Corp Pham of the Stafford PD I rode with last weekend. The Corp called me to offer me a duty bag full of goodies such a duty holsters, duty belts and other assorted goodies. Frankly I'm overwhelmed by his generosity but that also leads me to believe that I made a positive impression on him aswell as the other officers I met and interacted with. I was very taken aback by their generosity and friendship and making me feel like apart of their department.

They are having a fund raising barbq/chilli cook-off to help raise funds for an officer in their dept, who needs a heart transplant, next saturday and I was gratiously offered an invitation to attend so I could meet the rest of the dept.
I wholeheartedly accepted and offered my assistance for whatever they may need.

On another note we have our mid-term exam on Feb 8th and we have been given two pre-test study guide exams. First pre-test of 100 questions I aced with a perfect score and the second pre-test of 188 questions I only missed 20 which gave me a passing score of 88%. I missed a few because we are being overloaded with case study and I did not take my time on a few others. So basically I have surpassed 90+% of my class with these pre-exams which is a great feeling. Soon we will be starting our firearm's qualifications aswell as our driving qualifications so the fun is about to start.

Thanks for listening,
Gregg :)

PS,
God willing my patrol car will look like this :thumbup: ;

Well done Scotty,Tex,Jabber. deMuRe not so sure with you but hey haha. :hehe:

Many thanks from me and I agree well done scotty and Jabberwocky but I'm kinda worried about deMuRe. The 'easy way out' will have longterm detrimental effects, ask me how I know and I'll write you a book. Of course if your just yanking chains deMuRe please disregard my statement  .

Nah I'm not joking. I'm an experienced gym user and I'm adopting a little chemical help, I live with a doctor and it's all under control.

Nothing to worry about but thanks all the same. :)

Creatine supplements demure? problem with them is they build you up and if you dont keep them up then you turn to fat!

Actually Sir bud your misinformed. Creatines are virtually if not calorie free and its main purpose is to assist in the flow of nutrients and the hydration of muscle tissue. These two attributes are attained by the relaxation of the arterial musculature thus in turn the blood vessels are allowed to fully expand with minimum restriction. That in turn leads to more nutrient absorbtion by the muscle while keeping said muscle fibre fully hydrated thus the 'pump' that is acquired. I use a creatine supplement that needs no loading process and is immediately absorbed into ones system.

Now back to ME!! :D

During our 'first response CPR' class today a Deputy Sheriff who graduated our academy last year stopped in to say hello to our instructor and to talk with our class. He is with the Falls County Sheriffs Dept which is just south of Waco,Tx and is about 200 miles north of Houston. Without going over all the details I will highlite the best ones. First there is no 80+page application process, secondly they do everything 'inhouse' such as the drug testing background check etc etc (which is usually an out of pocket expense), they do not care about your credit history which is a huge downfall for the bigger metropolitan area's and the time from initial application to hire is less than one month compared to the 3-5 month process for the bigger agencies.

Deputy Gordon stipulated that his agency is one of the best for the 'getting your foot in the door' process which is the hardest part in law enforcement. Now here is the BEST PART about this agency, they work daily hand in hand with the DPS (Department of Public Safety) aswell as the Texas Rangers and they are responsible for basic forensics, interrogations and investigations. In the bigger agencys those are area's that have there own dept's so the experience that I could acquire with them would put me way ahead of the average patrol officer.

They have 6 positions open so I and several other classmates will be making an appearance and application with them very soon.
