Spanky I want to make sure we were collectively able to address your six seconds of concern here.

Can I answer it this way, I'd be happy to have Lewis at Ferrari at some stage in the future :)

Not entirely sure how to say... mordesi la lingua!

mi sei amico? :-)

Quick question

So after all the 'hoopla' of the diffuser saga at Silverstone they are going back to the way it was before Valencia BUT they will not be allowed to change their engine settings between qualifying and the race...does this mean it will effect Redbull quiet abit?!?!

Because i thought id heard a bit ago the they turn their engines onto a higher setting during qualifying then they do for the actual race...or is thatjust me and my wishful thinking?! :hehe:

It's going back to Valencia specification; the Exhaust Blown Diffuser overrun is allowed but no changes can be made to the engine mapping between qualifying and race; not that it made a blind bit of difference in Valencia; Red Bull were still dominant despite not being able to run the alleged special engine map for qualifying!

There was that bit about the steering wheel change being practiced. I forgot to keep an eye out for it during Vettel's first pit stop during the race.

Yeah, I hadn't heard talking about that anymore. That would be quite a clever and sneaky way

I like it, the thought process behind it... thinking outside the square!

Alright, that's enough, let's not ruin a previously good natured thread... absolutely no need to get personal!

Your right once again so my apologies.

The race was a tad odd and my dang tape ran out with 10 laps to go, never a dull moment in F1 right?

That deserved that little <EDITED> WB, I suggest you stop by our guidelines section and read it. I've edited your post because one of the things forbidden on the forum is the use of derogatory names towards drivers. FORUM GUIDELINES

Bit harsh. How did he deserve it?

I don't think anyone deserves to have their car fall to bits during a race. Justy as the wheel launched its solo career where it diod and not out on the track whilst going at full chat!

i did say on the other Thread/Forum and i will say it again................ "The win that Button won in Canada", he only won that race because Alonso and Hamilton were both taken out the race as well as many other drivers, and he was helped by the safety car, and due to the fact that most of the front runners were on old worn out tyres, and the fact that Vettel made a mistake at the end of the race.

Might not relate to this but this is what i mean.....this is my opinion.. and different people have different opinions. And yes i do agree what you said.."I don't think anyone deserves to have their car fall to bits during a race"...but i think it deserved Button, thats my opinion(cause i hate him)

:nono: This is a fine case of a person's dislike of a particular driver resulting in silly, :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: opinions.

Jenson Button won in Canada because he was fast enough and good enough to be ahead by the time the flag fell. He was having a solid race at his home Grand Prix. How can you say someone deserves to retire from a race?
#265850
That is simplistic to say such and such won due such and such retiring from the race. Get with it mate, motor racing has ALWAYS been that way. Plenty of races have been won due to a retirement ahead ( or team orders...) The fact is he drove to put himself in a position to capitilize from it. It funny how some say a driver "lucked' into a win, and how others will say he kept a cool head while others succumbed to the pressure. You hav eto take your emotion out of it, and be objective.

I think Canada was a great race. I think it showed a chink in Vettel's armour when under pressure. You think Webber didn't remember that when he hounded him at Silverstone last weekend?

Remember, a win is a win. To finish first, first you must finish. When you look back at results, they is only room next to the drivers name for a number, not a description. And that's all that matters......

He deserved it? No way.
That little thing could have even caused an accident. His win in Canada was nothing short of amazing. Just as if Lewis had won in Silverstone; which he could have at least challenged.

And... none of that has anything to do with deserving the wheel nut problem.
