Can't agree he blew it in 2010. He made no more, probably less, errors than the other championship contenders. But people tend to be more critical of any error Lewis makes and to forget those of others. 2011 yes he made more errors, but it was out if utter frustration at the speed of the red bull. And he wouldn't have won even without the errors, the bull was too fast.

I was holding him up to a higher standard.

Then you're forgiven :D

Whatever happens in the race tomorrow, Lewis certainly put a fine point on what McLaren is going to miss. That pole was majestic...not surprising but majestic nonetheless.

I'm just saying...

As a McLaren fan, I hope Lewis wins the race tomorrow... his last for the team. There is no denying it was a strong partnership, and to see it end on a high would be very fitting.

The guy will be missed at Woking.

Well said, Lew, well said. It's because of fans like you that I don't direct any ill will toward Jenson, just let the chips fall where they may (pretty good today, btw). On to new challenges, it seems.

Peace.

Actually feel sorry for Lewis this year, especially after yesterday. He's driven brilliantly all season and got very little to show for it.

There are far to many crash specialists in F1 these days.

Lewis, yet again, suffered at the hands of an out of control car.
Useless drivers should all be at the back out of the bloody road imo.

Lewis should have won this championship, but a combination of useless, blind drivers and McLaren really screwed his chances.

That wasn't hulkenberg's fault...pure racing incident....

It's part of racing and yesterday was a racing incident, it happens. I was surprised there was even a drive through penalty for it, but to compare that to some of the more egregious incidents we've had this year by others is a losing argument.

Lewis drove fantastically this year, but it was the car's reliability that cost him way more than the crashes he was involved in.

Lewis has shed that 1 year 'crash king' title, but he might need to develop another talent - avoiding crash kings.

As a rule of thumb, I think (especially in slippery conditions) he'd need to avoid putting his car on the outside of any corner when racing anyone who isn't Kimi/Alonso/Button.

So Lewis fans...fo sho' we're hoping Merc has something in store for 2013 to keep us on the edge of our seats, but just in case we need to face the worst case scenario of another 'lost development' we might have some similar action to this? Rewind back to the last time Lewis had a true dog to work with and we find some midfield magic.

Of course there's some usual McLaren rubbish at the end part....maybe just ignore that. :hehe:

That bit at the end there... that could have been this year, the more things change. :hehe:
