he finished without the green stripe i think, so surely he started on the softer one didnt he?

He did a 1 stop strategy soft tyres on the first stint pitted lap 26 put 19 laps of fuel in the car and switched to hard tyres.

Great race for both Kimi and Fisi. Fisi got the most out of his car, just got unlucky with the safety car, nothing he could really do with that KERS Ferrari behind him. Also, both BMW drivers are starting to pick their game up, ans they are finally starting to be competitive. I felt absolutely gutted for Alonso, he did everything he could do and was on pace for a 4th or 5th, maybe even the last podium spot if it wasn't for the pit crew. They have got to get more practice securing those front wheels.

Overall, very entertaining race. Bring on Monza.

I think the front wheel was damaged in the first corner by the other Force India car. At least looked like that from the replays shown.

In fact was Button whom hitted Grosjean, breaking his front wing, and then... the disaster, Grosjean hitted Hamilton, and Hamilton hitted Alguersuari.

Yep. This time it was a race incident. Sutil hits Alonso from the left damaging his front-left hubcap, something brokes or blends, and when Alonso stops they couldn't insert a proper hubcap, so they had to send him with the damaged one.

Stephano was very coy when asked about Badoer. Kimi's ferrari was bloody quick today, and Fisi's Force India was out of this world on pace, roll on Monza

Agreed, now that McLaren have found a better performing car than at the start Heikki is driving a lot better, I really hope he keeps his ticket next season, he really deserves it, plus I don't want that spoiled brat Fernando coming back into the team

Think it was the contact Alonso had at the start of the race that screwed him in the pitstop. Obviously its very frustrating as 3rd was looking very possible had he come out in clean air after his pitstop.

That said a great race for Force India, had there not been a safety car at the start the race, 1st was Fisi's. Still 2nd is very good. Bring on Monza now!

It was unfortunate for the race that Lewis, as the other capable driver with KERS was out so early. Would have been nice to see a bit more overtaking in 1st section uphill after eau rouge. Now Kimi was so quickly 1st it kind of ended that entertainment. But overall results good, and I'd think based on this Ferrari might be ok in the next 2 races at least. End of the season might still be a open race for championship if Button and Brawn continues like this.

Pretty bad weekend overall for McLaren Ferrari pulled out another 7 points in the constructors. McLaren had a spot on strategy HK didn't have amazing pace and made up 9 places i think. Monza will be hard again for McLaren.
