Do you's not get it on BBC America? I mean we get live coverage of Baseball and other crep on ESPN America. At least you don't have to listen to EJ anyways.

It's a rights issue. Speed TV has the F1 rights in the US. BBC only has the rights in the UK.
there's a bbc america now? :yikes: what happened to the bbc being complete ***** about the licence fee?

It's a part of the BBC's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide, which monetizes the BBC's properties to help fund the parts of the BBC's budget the license fee does not cover.

It's a commercial side of the BBC there are adverts on that channel and all sorts, no license fee money goes into it because it's the law

ah kk, the bbc love the lience fee here in the uk thats all, if u buy a new freeview box or tv its the law they must tell the bbc who start sending u angry letters about lience fee evasion even if your already paying.

Can't say I've ever heard of that happening to anyone.

Yeah but you don't know it all. It's not as if you are a house owner is it??

Ah na its not as extreme as that. If you buy a new tv or freeview box you need to give the store your address or fill in a form for TV licensing. Mind you if you buy anything in Tesco and have a clubcard you don't need to as they just track your address from there ;)

Heh, yeah, or they send you threatening letters about not having a tv licence even if you don't have a sodding tv!! :beans:

Happened to every single one of my uni mates in halls, even if they had a licence.

It's a crime that it's taken this long for Badoer to get another shot at an F1 seat. I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I fear he's too old to make this sort of comeback after so long a time without having driven an F1 car.

But then...
I'm very surprised that they're letting him have another go considering his four pit lane speeding violations during first practice, awful qualifying times, and his race pace was dreadful. Then he let the rookie pwn him on the way out of pit lane during the race. On top of all of that he drove his car into the back of Sutil's in parc ferme. I hear that this morning he had to argue his way past security because he left his pit pass elsewhere. The guy just seems clumsy.

But I hear they're considering Fisi to take over for Massa after this race.

Yep 100% exactly right . Congratulations.

We have moved on, were on about TV licensing, and Jensonb (Mr.Tan) knows it all.

fisis denied that, its on the f1 net main site.

He might deny it, but he'd be a fool not to terminate his Force India contract for the opportunity. Would be a smart move from Ferrari, I can't think of anyone better who would be likely to ditch their team at the drop of a hat.

To be honest, if Ferrari want Fisi they'll probably have to pay Force India.

Fisi will surely be retained for next year anyway, so it could be a short term loan jobbie until the end of the season. Also, there would be a benefit for Force India. they could get Liuzzi in the car for a few races.

I doubt they will call in someone from another team, dude thats asking to give up company secrets, they wouldnt want to do that. Thats why they look at people who are not currently f1 drivers.
