Now that LH has twice now 'disobeyed' team orders, albeit correct decisions, you have to wonder if that will harm him regarding his team/bosses moving forward. I'm thinking it could hurt his trust when it comes to team strategy.

I assume you are taking about being told to hold back and save tyres.

As Lewis described on Sky he did not disobey orders. That sort of radio comms is ADVICE from his engineer. Suggestions they believe will give him best chance of winning. He decided to not act on the advice.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but possibly a reason Hamilton only lost 3 places is he almost jumped the start

Hamilton was close to a false start at Monza. Reaction time was 0,0s. It means: Hamilton was lucky the lights went out when he went off.

Either Hamilton timed it perfectly (a 0.0 reaction is alien though) or he was lucky (probably deserved the luck a little tbh) the lights didnt go out as much as 0.1s later (which they could have done).

The guy is just good. :P

Regarding the start, he had a hell of a time. It's also possible that Bottas suffered a similar issue since Williams is now investigating his problem as well. According to Lewis he knew he hard a problem as they practice the launch as part of the formation lap routine and he knew there was a problem going to the line.

It's only when there are problems that we hear about arcane things like this that routinely go on behind the scenes.

Didnt you ever hear that lewis and Alonso are the drivers that can get more than 100% from a car?? This means that when going around a corner if the maximum cornering speed possible with a stable car is xmph then these boys can get x+ 20 mph (Lewis anyway, Al probably gets +14mph) by driving beyond the limit of stability and retaining(regaining) control

So it makes sense that Lewis could react to the lights in exactly 0.0s - because the distance and the speed of light fall into that realm of possibility.

In fact its possible Lewis could actually react in -0.01 seconds and still make it errr....hold on :hehe:

Great win for Alonso, it's about time a Ferrari driver stood on then top step of the podium again! Also amazing result for Jenson Button, finishing second in that dog of a car was an amazing result; and would you believe that Max Chilton managed to drag the Marussia onto the third step of the podium, amazing race, more like this please!

:rofl::clap::rofl:
I like the way you think!!

That wasn't the response I was expecting... I was expecting "didn't you watch the race you :censored: idiot, Lewis Hamilton, the best driver in the Universe won the race"

I thought it was a funny way to break the tension!!
Besides, I needed a good laugh, after the week I've had!!

A WDC led Mclaren team should not be toe to toe with a Jordan team led by guys who have not even won a race

maybe the stewards considered this and decided Button was being lame and inviting a penalty for Perez instead of just trying to go fast. When a young driver is bold enough to outdrive the most experienced WDCs on the grid benefit of doubt surely needs to go to the young guy, otherwise rookies would just give up. Some experienced yet lame drivers like Massa play the stewards by trying to make the rookies look crazy. So its possible that in this case Warwick decided that Button is a twat and gave perez the benefit of that wisdom

Perez whom he beat last year, Mag who he has almost double the points of this year? Or the man who came second in the 2011 WC to his teammate's fifth? That twat?

And while we're at it, if Perez is in a Jordan, then Vettel beat the grid in a Minardi and won four crowns in a Stewart. Makes WDC Lewis losing to all that rubbish in a McLaren kind of bad.

Ferrariman , what Roth is saying is that a Minardi/Stewart driven by a guy who this year cant even beat his near rookie teammate, beat a Ferrari driven by the best driver on the grid 4 YEARS IN A ROW

I must say, I was almost impressed by the Tifosi at Monza. passionate bunch without question, but to actually divert their interest to the actual F1 race despite their team and drivers not remotely in the mix

And some good cheering for Hamilton, some Tifosi must have joined the brits to cheer. Having said that for a Tifosi, making a choice between a so called emotional heart on sleeve, brave driver vs a clinical, efficient, morally questionable, Angela Merkle lookalike bottler - theres no real choice to be made

however bravisimo and respect to the long suffering race attending Tifosi
