Button, Hamilton and Ferrari have said it was the correct decision.

Yes but they don't have an F1 Pool to deal with! :P

Neither do I so it doesn't bother me. :D

Slacking boyyyy!!! :whip:

Talk to me in the other thread.

Anyone remember 2005 qualifying at Melbourne. I recall that was a rainy one. That's when men were men! :whip:

Really, what disappoints me very much is how F1 has evolved. Hell if the conditions are bad, just drive slower! Do you remember Nurburgring 1999 I think, everyone were spinning off and I think in the end a Jordan won. These guys are paid like mad, they can't stop squawking about the safety in these cars, and the circuits are designed to F1 spec, so what's with watering down the sport with a stupid safety car circling the track for 1/2 an hour when everyone expects to see F1 cars and drivers braving the conditions to the best of their abilities?

I always loved F1's do or DNF mentality until the mid 2000s...and since like 2 years ago the sport has just become retarded whenever it rains.

Agree with you there totally mate.

Although it was a Stewart car driven by Johnny Herbert that won at the 'Ring in '99. :P:wink:

I just have but I'm not too sure if I'm down with the topic you suggested.

Yeah, exactly..a driver who kept his car on track. There's so many examples...Spa with Damon Hill winning in a 1-2 Jordan, when Schumacher kissed DC's backside, or Brazil 2003 when Fisichella won, or what about when Panis won at Monaco...F**K this Justin Bieber generation is full of p***ies!!!

/Now that's a rant.

Would Spa 1998 have happened if the rain had been falling like it was, but in this era? That's a worrying thought, but it begs to be asked

Spa was fine until Coldturd decided to take out most the field on the run down to Eau Rouge.

Coulthard had a bumper weekend at Spa 98 didn't he?

But remember, the cars were not as fast then as they are now. It's better to not risk a serious accident where someone is injured or worse.

Bro they would've just cancelled the race and moved on...no f**king way Charlie Flintstone would've given the green light. Hell, he doesn't even like the idea of F1 cars on wet tyres anymore.

Yeah it sadly seems to be getting that way. Most of the cars were lapping fine earlier today, the occurance of a few spins and bashes is to be expected! No way should it have been cancelled. Really feel for those who paid to attend, and not a glamorous way to start the year.

SIgh, it was looking good until that!

That's true yeah. Q1 was really entertaining. And the action more than made up for the fact that my favourite team are off the pace :(

When you say F1 Pool all I can think about is a bunch of drivers in a pool. And Valtteri Bottas' girlfriend. I'm in love.
