Great race from Jenson too, proved to everyone why he's the number 1 driver of McLaren. Started 11th and finished 9th.:clap::clap:

I think Lewis clearly doesn't give a crap about that whole Button being #1/running the garage business. Lewis just climbs into the car and puts it on pole. When faced with adversity, starts last and still performs better. Hammer, I know that comment was tongue in cheek but the sentiment has been in public domain.

With Lewis' performance today (despite yet ANOTHER PIT COCKUP) on a two stopper, he would have won easily had he remained on pole. What might have?!

So happy to see Williams back at the top of the results, not really a fan of Maldonado; would have preferred to see Bruno Senna take the win for Williams but I can't fault Maldonado's drive today. Great drive from Kobayashi to claim fifth place from starting 10th, good drive from Hamilton, to come from 24th to 8th has to be considered a good result, really disappointed with Button, to start 14 places ahead of Hamilton in an identical car and finish one place behind is dismal! Solid result for Lotus, 3rd place for Raikkonen and 4th place for Grosjean is good, building on the points tally.

I suspect a few more sponsors will appear on the Williams over the next year now they have won again and proven to be solid points scorers, more coffers to continue the development!

And the story of the year, fifth winner and fifth constructor win in five races!

Fantastic drive by Maldonado! The car was good, but he was better! Amazing drive!:clap::clap:
Alonso and Raikkonen, both great, but, I really wanted Kimi to attack him on the last lap.
Grosjean, smart drive, aggressive when needed.
Kobayashi, fantasic! I really like his overtaking style!
Vettel... da man!!! Let's face it, he was unlucky today, that penalty was out of line, but ok, it happened. But, the things he did in last couple of laps... AWESOME!!!:clap::clap: He really earned his championship lead! :cloud9:
Rosberg-pure damage control, nothing more he could have done.
Hamilton, like I predicted, fantastic drive! Risky strategy, lot of overtaking, lost time behind Massa, but all in all, great race.:clap::clap:
Button, like Webber, lost in translation... Strange races for both of them...
Hulk with a point, YEAH!!!

Well, it comes to me that Kimi has to win in Monaco... :hehe: I mean, this season is INSANE!!! I LIKE IT!!! :drink::drink::drink::clap::clap::clap:

Looks like Williams really had some SERIOUS pace. I thought he'd be a goner after 5 laps....wow. Congrats to Maldanado, his pacing and his PACE was just brilliant. He actually outfoxed the fox himself, I am stunned to be honest. Felt it was Alonso's to lose way back.

My 2nd best driver of the day (filled with bias of course) has to be Lewis. Uncanny overtakes, sublime skill and that THAT for freakin TYRE CONSERVATION. 30 laps in with primes.

Let me repeat. Lewis Hamilton = TYRE CONSERVATION.

Great race from Jenson too, proved to everyone why he's the number 1 driver of McLaren. Started 11th and finished 9th.:clap::clap:

:rofl::rofl:
Brilliant Lewis!!! That should have been your win, but great drive and saving of a few points. Still lying 3rd.
That said much as I dislike Maldonado, great race mate. Great from the first three drivers in fact.
Lewis cant save tyres?? Who said that?

Lewis briliant? 78s behind the first position and that's because he made only two pitstops? Don't think so.

Grats to Maldonado, he really deserved the victory.

That's exactly the face I have whenever Lewis gets screwed by his team or himself
But nonetheless, he's a great driver.

If Kimmi keeps up his pace shown in the last races, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on first place podium very soon.

2012 is the best F1 year we've had since 2007. We're witnessing a historic season and I'm glad to be an F1 fan, even if McLaren is a bit embarrassing of late. :hehe:

Maldonado maintains the Barcelona tradition that if you're not on pole... good to see Williams on the top step, short lived given the developments that are sure to come, but the gap between the teams is so close that minor factors have determined the winner five times this year so far. When Lewis wins Monaco, we'll have six different winners.

Absolutely chuffed for Maldonado.. Great to see a 5th driver from a 5th team win the 5th race.

One or two more laps and Kimi would of DRS'd Alonso and had 2nd place. Kimi stayed out on his 2nd set of tyres too long.

As much as i love him, Schumacher needs to give up and go. To say Kimi has 'schooled' Schumi is an understatement.

Brilliant drive by Lewis, some great overtakes and a strong and mature drive on a 2 stop strat.

Great race!

Can't really get my head around all this. Why are some guys suddenly so quick and some suddenly fall back, only for everything to change completely at the next race when a brand new challenger will emerge, look legitimately fast, and then fall back slightly after... It's definitely not JUST tyres or JUST updates etc. Crazy.

Awesome to see Williams winning again and in such style. Hope those that counted them as finished in recent years are now enjoying that nice big cup of shut the :censored: up they have been served :thumbup::thumbup:

Williams now tied with Merc for points

By my reckoning i think we have 5 guys who are the realistic title contenders... utter madness. This season never stops giving purely brilliant entertainment in every single area.

:rofl::rofl: He started last, or did you miss that bit?
And doing two stops on these tyres is quite an achievemnet.

China, lap 4: Vettel is in p15 in an underperforming car with no top speed. Finishes the race 5th, 30 seconds behind winner.
Spain, lap 4: Hamilton is in p15 in (one of the) fastest cars, with 3rd highest top speed. Finishes the race 8th, 80 seconds behind winner.

He did well today, but it wasn't a once-in-a-life-time drive. It's what you can expect the three best drivers on the grid.
So yes, Hamilton proved again proved today to be one of the three best drivers on the grid. No, he didn't prove that he is the best.

I actually really enjoyed today's race for what three of our champions have shown.
Both Hamilton and Vettel had some really exciting overtakes, and Räikkönen's late charge was incredibly fascinating.

The difference being is that Hamilton was on pole and would have likely had a cakewalk of a race. In China, Vettel started in 11th place, and was there of his own accord... not because he was handed down a ten spot grid penalty or moved to the back of the bus. You can't just look at numbers my friend.
