What on earth are the stewards thinking.

NO action taken against Rosberg. How many people were moaning when Schumacher did the same to Rubens at Hungary the other year, yet Rosberg puts Hamilton FOUR wheels off the track and gets nothing!!!!!!!!!

Think Rosberg is very lucky. Don't normally think Hamilton has been unfairly treated, but had he (or Schumacher) done that, I doubt the outcome would be the same.

On the race, Vettel did what he did in 2011, but Kimi is my driver of the day, with Di Resta and Vettel also driving excellent races. Grosjean was solid in 3rd, but why was Webber so far off the pace?

Alonso in the points again, damage limitation certainly working for him at the moment.

Well it could've been worse, Hamilton could've got a drive through today for being pushed off the track. :banghead:

This year sure is crazy!
@LRW, it's also called gaining an advantage... But, IMO, Rosberg is getting 5 grid slots penalty for Barcelona. Deserved.

HE gained an advantage by going off the track, taking a longer line, onto the sandy surface? Are you for real?

He was faster than Rosberg and was going to overtake. Rosberg refused to leave the one cars gap he was meant to, and should be penalised for it. He went on and did almost the same thing with Alonso, on the same corner...!!

I don't think the rules take into account the surface off track - they are either on track or off track but I agree there would be a strong case to penalise Rosberg. I'm in 2 minds about Rosbergs actions. On one hand they were stupid and dangerous as hell but on the other it was pretty damn entertaining. There are 3 weeks until the next race. I wouldn't be surprised if McLaren and Ferrari lobby the FiA to punish Rosberg if they are unhappy about this.

Perhaps the stewards are letting Rosberg off the hook considering where Alonso and Hamilton ultimately finished?

On the BBC coverage, Coulthard is saying that Rosberg didn't gain an advantage in the ding-dong with Hamilton so that may well be why they let Rosberg off.

But he did against Alonso yet he hasn't been punished for that either.

Thats the problem with BBC, they havent got the guts to argue with what the stewards say. Give me Martin Brundle over DC any day!!!

Whether Hamilton got an advantage or not doesnt matter, it was a DANGEROUS move, and should have been punished!

They just mentioned that but said it wasn't as bad as Rosberg's previous madness. Seems odd though. Drivers have been penalised for a lot less in the past.

This I agree with.

But hey, theyve made their decision now, so we should just forget it and move on. The last thing we want is it to turn into another NK and SV argument that lasts for the next three weeks.....

Herbet would def have given a penalty for that, especially the Lewis one, because he said they were alongside. Lewis and Nico are mates so maybe Lewis played it down, I cant see him being vindictive to Nico. Thing is what happens next time that situation occurs.? They have to be consistant.

Oh well what can I say, other than that I am NOT a happy bunny. :censored::censored::censored::censored::banghead::banghead::banghead:

For a start, I'm absolutely furious with the way things went for McLaren, that was simply an appalling race. It has cost the team the lead of both championships, and that sucks in a massive way. Now unlike some folk here with their knee-jerk reactions when it comes to bashing McLaren, I am always hesitant before laying any blame on the team, but even I have to ask WTF was happening with those pit-stops?!?! That needs sorting out, and fast.

Congrats to Seb on his first victory, I hope it isn't the start of a run of wins though. He withstood some minor pressure from Kimi Raikkonen, who, along with his team, did a sterling job. Grosjean too, great to see him on the podium.

I also disagree with the stewards' decisions with regard to Nico Rosberg. WTF was all that pushing others of the track about? Doing it once was bad enough, but then to complain he had been overtaken off the track???:beans: And then he did the same again to Fernando. Ridiculous driving.

Despite all this ranting, it was an enjoyable race, and I'm glad it passed by without incident. I don't care if we've got a three week break now. Give them 4 or 5... McLaren will bloody well need it.
