ok thanks, it would major work for race control if they had to use the timing beams on alll the cars and all the corners-straights........ so yeah with only one place to check it is a little more straight forward and kinda easier for the watchers to understand.
I believe it is restricted to one zone only, i haven't heard anything to the contrary anyway. So there'll only be the one timing beam for it as far as i know. And yeah, the drivers have to get 1 sec behind without the wing.
