I'm very happy to see Kobayashi being retained by Sauber; although it's not surprising as the Japanese has put in some stunning drives this season. He needs to improve his qualifying performances in general but he race drives have made up for the deficiencies in qualification.

I put quite a bit of the lack of qualifying pace on the Sauber car rather than Kobayashi. You may be right and we won't know how his qualifying pace really is until Sauber gets a legitimately competitive car. What we do know of him is that he's a very competitive racer, could teach Vettle a thing or two about passing.
The influx of money into the team for 2011 and a solid driver in Kobayashi bode well, let's see who the second driver will be. I don't have high hopes for de la Rosa.
