Cool cool. It's fascinating to watch McLaren morph into a true British Ferrari...Can't wait for 2012 when it's highly likely they'll be running a pucker works outfit, with an in-house engine.

If you want a real British Ferrari why wait until 2012 when there is already such nice real cars around. It is called an Aston Martin. Now that is a real and very nice British sports car and super car maker. By the way Aston Martin (DBR9) will be in this years revamped GT1 series. Along with Maserati MC12, Corvette, Nissan GTR, Ford GT and Lamborghini Murcielago. Should be a great season this year. :D

...Nope, don't see any "Aston Martin" here...There is something called USF1...Not sure what that is...Maybe they took the place of this "Aston Martin"?

I was talking about the 2010 GT1 World Sports Car Championship not the 2010 FIA F1 World Championship. Sorry my confusion.

No no, I wasn't referring to that. I was just explaining that by a "British Ferrari" I mean an F1 Team who are also a sportscar manufacturer. It's just I'm a Brit, and our dry wit is hard to contain.

Oh I see. You do already have that now in 2010. Lotus is British and has an F1 team and also makes cars. I know it is Malaysian owned but it is still British isn't? Well if it is a British registered company or division even under Proton it would still be British. And if the F1 team has British super licence then it would also be British. These things I am not certain about but I hope they are British because Lotus is a true British car.

The Lotus F1 teams car is not made in the same factory as the road cars though is it.

McLaren F1 cars and road cars are made in the same factory just as Ferrari's are. Thus McLaren is closer to the Ferrari model than Lotus.

F1 does look like its going to have a few premium sports car brands as race teams.

I mean Ferrar, Mclaren, Lotus - possibly Aston martin and a Russian sports car brand sponsors Virgin.
