Damon!! Cheating!! Barichello!! Johnny Herbet!! To mention just a few.

How about some of Lewis's moves in the past, should we all who are not Hamilton fans just brush them aside?

I dont think he's a likeable guy actually.

Many think the same about Lewis but you seem to overlook that  !

But I am aware that I probably dont give him credit for what he did achieve. I find it hard to see past the bad stuff.

And you take every opportunity to let everyone know that  .

Broken record Tex?? That would be Schumi's, record yeah?

I'll admit I was never Schumacher's greatest fan, especially after he took Damon Hill off, blocked him illegally, parked it at the Rascasse etc, but he's done plenty of good things as well. I quite liked him when he first came a long and it was refreshing to see him rattling Senna's cage etc.

I don't think he'll do any cheating, to be honest I think he has returned because he misses the racing and wants to just enjoy himself.

Like I said though, calling Alonso "the next Schumacher" is not right, Alonso is writing his own pages in history. Afterall, you never see Barrichello or Hulkenberg being called "the next Mansell" (unless one or both of them decided to grow 'tashes overnight :P )

Entirely agree JR. I could write a long-winded article, but then again I could just listen to this song and think of how cool it'll be seeing some of the sport's greatest drivers compete in F1 this season:

The quality of Formula One has not decreased over the last few seasons, infact I think it has monumentally improved. Schumacher will not have it easy, neither will Alonso.

Ok first point.I cant speak for other Hamilton Fans but I dont brush aside any of his moves. I admit when he makes errors. So whats the point here? We're talking about Schumacher .

2nd point. Dont care what others think of Lewis, I was just clarifying my views of Schumacher when antoniob was wondering about it.

3rd point.I was asked about my views of Schumacher, hence the answer and as i said I realise he deserves credit for his achievements.

Its unlikly Alonso will ever become become another Schumi since he'll have Hamilton to stop him (at least)

Mika was Schui's only real compition after Williams faltered after 1997 and as much as i hate to admit it (Legend that he was was) he wasn't as good as Schui.

If you replaced Hamilton, Alonso or perhaps even Button or Massa with Schui at Ferrari you'd have a simlar result.

Alonso is Alonso, nobody else.

He's the guy that beat Schumacher. Twice.
Suuuuuuuuuuure the Renault was ahead everyone else... the tyres... blah blah blah. You could say the same about many of Schu's titles. The Ferrari was basically unbeatable, but still MS' titles were deserved.

One more thing: Would MS have ever lost the title to his teammate by 1 pt??
(yeah yeah... he didnt lose it to his teammate but you know what i mean).

Is he 'better' than Schumacher.
We'll see this yr. Maybe. Or actually.... Who cares? I hope he beats him and i think MS should not have returned (nor retired for that matter). But even beating him wouldnt mean he's 'the next schumacher'........

Lewis to be the guy to stop Alonso from being the next Shumacher?
There's far too many closely matched drivers and cars to pin it on just 1 guy.

A few drivers seem to have this element of selfishness.

If you hate Schumacher for the bad stuff, you have to hate Hamilton as well. Also throw Alonso into the mix. Otherwise that is bias and often discredits a reputation. (For example - look at the FIA, who are known to show bias.)

I say this from experience, because I too have been blatantly bias in the past, and many a comment I make now falls on deaf ears.
