If we see a rejuvinated Michael Schumacher there's no reason why we wont see another 3 years of total domination.

He was tired towards his time at Ferrari, he's had is rest, I think he will shine once again.

can't wait to see it to be honest, well excited.

Doubt that the reason MS did so well was because his only real compition he had was Mika.

Now he's got Alonso, and Hamilton, and Possible Massa and Vettle.

Nah I don't think that the reason he won so mch was coz Mika was the only one.
But good suggestion

I always thought his dominance bashed the confidence out of the rest of the drivers, that's part of the reason why he stayed dominant. It's also true that Mika was the only one Schumi respected, so in that way Mika rose above it all, however he did crack.

Yeh but Alonso has beaten him, Lewis has Beaten-Matched Alonso.

They won't be phased by him at all, just depends on how good the car is, if the car is amazing and Ferrari and Mclaren arn't quite there it could mean domination in that sense, but i doubt it

By that your implying Michael's success will be largely down to the car. His presence will lift the team and his work ethic will iron out any bugs in the car. Only question is, will his eithics once again cloud is on track performances?

Well some seasons were the car, 2004 for example but i agree with what your saying about his ethic, his technical ability made it possible for engineer's to get the feedback they needed.

And this could apply for 2011 and fully and perhaps improving 2010's.

So if were gonna see domination it will be from 2011 unless the 2010 is already very good.

I really hope we don't though if the Merc, the Mclaren and Ferrari are equal it will be a fantastic season.

Yeah I'm really hoping for some exciting racing this year as the young guns will go all out to prove themselves against an old meistro. My 2nd favourite driver Mark Webber had a strong finish to the season and will be a real dark horse for 2010. I hope they both do well next year and it's good clean fun.

My fears tell me that leopards don't change their spots and once again we are going to have some controversy with regards to Schumachers ethics. What he needs to do is have a really clean 3 years and finish on a high.

Yeh agree about Mark especially now he injury will be fully healed and he'll be much fitter compared with last season.

He can beat vettle he's done that and he can also win from the back unlike vettle

Its part of Schumi though, aprt of him and it wouldn't be the same otherwise.

We all know that Michael Schumacher is an F1 legend (love him or hate him; you have to admit that). But three years away from the sport, coming back from an injury in a car that he is unfamiliar with the Mercedes. And of course we have no idea how competitive the Merc will be, last years performance isn't a good indicator.

OK, it says in this article that he is getting permission from the FIA to test in a GP2 car.

I don't understand why he needs permission, or any driver. The testing ban covers f1 testing. Is it part of the rules that F1 superlicense holders can't drive anything else (that resemble an open wheel f1 styled vehicle)?

Merc is just covering their arse by obtaining permission.
