will he be any good driving car fully loaded with fuel etc? then again he is/was always adaptable

I guess he's done it before, way back pre-1993... i think only him and Barrichello would have F1 experience racing under these rules, although i doubt it's going to be that big a deal - all the drivers adapted to the slicks pretty fast, despite there being an expected large advantage to some drivers.

Mr Eddie Jordan providing some interesting and insightful opinions on the matter
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 368107.stm
There's something new.

Will Schuy comeback. Everything seems to say he will. But the main statement I've picked up on is, that he only liked the idea of doing a few races rather than a whole season. Could he just do a few races. Well I doubt that, Mercedes will want him in a definitive role, as either test driver or race driver, or not at all. So does Schuy really want to comeback and race an entire season and have to fight for the championship.

It would be fantastic, but we can only really wait and see.

If Mercedes have a car next year that has the best ( Brawn ) chassis and the Mercedes factory engine, then it could easiliy be the best car on the grid. Naturally Schumcher would love to get into it. If he got into any other 2010 car he may not look so hot. Personally I hope it never happens. There is a lot of talent coming throught the field and I know thats better for f1.

FRANKFURT, Germany — Former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher met with Mercedes bosses amid speculation the driver may come out of retirement to join the new F1 team.

"I know that Michael spoke with Dieter Zetsche and Norbert Haug at the season's finale in Abu Dhabi," Willi Weber, Schumacher's manager said on Sunday.

Zetsche is the CEO of Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, and Haug is vice-president of motor sport at Mercedes.

Mercedes has taken a majority stake of Brawn GP - which won the Formula One championship this year - and will race under its own name in 2010.

The new team has not announced its driver lineup for next season, but has retained Ross Brawn as its chief. He was closely linked to Schumacher's success at Ferrari.

Schumacher retired in 2006 after winning a record seven F1 titles. He abandoned plans for a temporary comeback this year with Ferrari because of a neck injury from a motorcycle crash.

Schumacher's spokeswoman, Sabine Kehm, said two days ago that a comeback was "highly unlikely at the moment."

Mercedes is believed to want at least one German driver in its ranks.

I hope this doesn't happen, not because I don't like him but because he has absolutely nothing to prove. Seven world titles and 91 wins is enough me thinks.
