interesting how the kimi announcement came first ey? anyway i'm pleased for mclaren because if button can get used to the car i think he will score more points than heikki did and hopefully give us a constructors title to go with lewis's 2010 wdc.

team gb is going to be fun but i don't expect button to be winning the title next year.

That's true. As much as I like McLaren, I don't want the BBC to go overboard with pro-McLaren/pro-Britain coverage. I'll still watch the build up but I may be ranting a bit more than usual in the chatroom next year.

Kimi Raikkonen in my opionion is quicker than Button. No offence to the new World Champion, but he got a good start because at the beginning of the season, his Brawn GP car was untouchable. You know what happened after that. Kimi when given a good car is fast, so assuming McLaren will be quick in 2010, then Lewis Hamilton together with Kimi Raikkonen would of been a very strong line up. But I guess if it is true that Button is weaker than Raikkonen, then given I am a Ferrari tifosa then that is better for me.

Not gonna disagree with you but the team have signed Button so i'll support the team and the teams drivers.

Yup AKR you have managed to write a whole post that I completely agree with, but this is the drivers that McLaren now have and I will totally support both of them over the coming years. Go Lewis Go Button Go McLaren

Yep Im with you too AKR .But still a phenomenally stronger driver pairing than the last two years. Be intriguing to watch.

at the end of the day the brawn fans can still back jenson and those of us that supported lewis can still do so. it's just choice, i'm mostly looking forward to seeing button win a race in a car that isn't dramatically quicker than the rest.

My first allegience is to Lewis, second McLaren. Ive always been more of a driver supporter. I still want McLaren to win tho! And whilst Button isnt my favourite driver I dont dislike him and I think he'll do a better job than Heiki has. So now maybe we'll get driver and constructer trophies

Lewis will be fine with it why wouldn't he? Lewis knows that Jenson deserves the number 1 on his car. Why do you think the number will change much?
