It looks like Mclaren, Brawn, Jenson and Kimi are playing a game of who flinches first.

Mclaren are in the best position really as they have a top driver already.

Jenson might get himself in a bad situation especially if he upsets brawn to much and they end up signing Kimi and Rosberg and Mclaren take Nick however thats unlik

Kimi doesn't care.

Brawn could do with Keeping Jenson but i can see why they wouldn't want to pay 8mil for him if they are struggling, but with the rumours that there getting alot of Merc money then why be so stingy.

Either they aren't as flush as we think, they think they can get Jenson for less or they don't think he's worth it.

Jensons an alright driver but it was a very very good car, i guess there abit upset he was willing to take a pay cut to help car development but now isn't?

He's a world champion. He would be stupid to accept the same money as last year.

Yeh they gone up to 6mil (from 3mil) he wants 8mil still.

Gaz i dont get this "It was a very good car line" Same could be said for Schumacher, Alonso infact any champion but what i think Jenson showed is that it is the car and not the driver as such..... in which we can agree but unfairly so on the slant youre pushing. Jenson has been in a poo car all his career yet if he was in a decent one from the get go i am sure your opinion of him would be different.

I'm not saying JB is a bad driver he's just not worth 8mil.

As for the rubbish car all his career the 04 BAR wasn't bad i think if you put LH, or Alonso in it it would of won races.

I know this was to Gaz but just to butt in...

Some times it's more the car than the driver which I think was the case this season. With, presumably, stiffer competition next year, will Button do as well? Probably not, therefore I don't think he's worth as much as he thinks he is.

I think the difference with Alonso and Schumacher is that they were clearly the best drivers in the best cars, this year was somewhat different and I think it'll show if he's in the same car as Hamilton next year.

End of the day i think id rather Jenson than Kimi, Atleast he wants to be in F!! Kimi might want to race until he is 40 but the problem with him is he doesnt put that out there, far as i can tell he might be good to McLaren for 2 years tops! woopdy duck doo! I can see Jenson staying for the rest of his career!

If Kimi takes a £2m pay cut to stay in F1 then I'm willing to believe he's motivated. He could easily take a full payout from Ferrari and sit on his backside next year, we'll have to wait and see how much he wants to drive. Even so, he's proven this year that he's still got what it takes and I still think he's a safer bet than Button. I'd rather take an on form Kimi for 2 years over a fully committed Jenson for a decade.

I can see your point but i don't think the MP4/25 wouldn't suit Jenson.

Kimi is the option that will win Mclaren the WCC

I'm sure Hammy has an anti decent teammate clause.

hehe I've been shouting it from the hilltops the last few months but lets not pick a fight madbrat :nono:
LB has great manners but that other nutter will start swearing....

anyway I still think ross has something up his sleeve. I have a feeling he doesnt really care about that number one on the car.
in his case action speaks louder and he may once again make his point come the start of next season.
