Oh the Rahal-Letterman BMW. Yah they're nice dude, they sound amazing. You should see the Jag running in the ALMS too.

Beautiful car, it only ran at Laguna this year but it'll run a full season next year.

yeah let me rephrase that. Kimi gave what he could with the car that he had. And if I had a team and all things being equal, I would hire him as a driver. My impression (which may not be accurate) was that after he heard there where no upgrade for the rest of the year, his tone indicated to me that he was somewhat apathetic about driving which is understandable. Its like "they are giving me a car that is no where near competitive so whats the point. If I am not close to the title whats it worth to risk getting injured from pushing to hard".

That being said and if a million dollars for third place came into play, then maybe he and other drivers might have taken a different tactics. A million to Kimi might not made much difference anyway I believe.

I was not trying to bash Kimi in anyway, just speculating on a mindset which may be way off base..
