maybe a Force India win could finish a very surprising season

Actually, thats an interesting prospect. But I can't see either Sutil or Luzzi having the skill to pull of an unlikely win. Not with drivers like Vettel, Lewis et all near the front. But Force India should have a strong weekend, since they go well at high speed circuits, and Abu Dhabi has two massive straights, and slow section. It's a bit like Monza in a few respects.

I don't think that Force India will be terribly strong here; maybe grab a couple of points but a win is unlikely. Yas Marina may have long straights but it's mostly tight and twisty and the Force India doesn't seem to work well in the tight sections as shown by the numerous street circuits this year.

yeah i've heard most pundits say the Mclaren's will do well here

Well A Mclaren might.

You never know; Heikki might pull off something special and win the final race to stake his claim to the second McLaren drive next season!

Yes, but slow corners are a different story when you have massive straights. At Singapore and Monaco, it's a case of full downforce and getting loads of cornering speeds. But at Monza and Spa it's a case of very low downforce, and extracting the most out of the car through the corners despite the set-up. The latter is something Force India has proved very successful at, simply because they haven't been able to get as much downforce on their car, so they usually run with less downforce and are used to getting more out of the chassis.

It'll depend on what the other teams do; I think that many will go for a middle ground set-up; if Force India go for a outright speed on the straights set-up they will probably be hopelessly slow through the slow corners either holding everyone up or pushing too hard scrubbing the tyres too much which will cost them in the end!

I'd like him to go out on a win, but I doubt it would save him.

I guess that I'll have to change my prediction for 8th; Kamui Kobayashi to score a point instead!

Glock not risked for Abu Dhabi:
Kamui Kobayashi will race for Toyota in Sunday's season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after German driver Timo Glock was again ruled out by injury.

Japan's Kobayashi, 23, made his Formula 1 debut in the last race in Brazil and finished ninth as a stand-in for Glock.

The German suffered a cracked vertebra in Japanese GP qualifying in September.

"Having discussed medical advice with Timo and his management, the team has decided to take no risk," said Toyota motorsport president John Howett.

"We feel genuinely sorry for Timo that his season, which has included two impressive podium finishes, is ending in this way.
Timo Glock

"Kamui performed well in Brazil in difficult circumstances so we are happy to ask him to once again deputise."

Kobayashi has competed in the GP2 Series, and joined Toyota as their test driver in 2007.

He was the fourth youngest driver on the grid at Interlagos, behind Sebastien Buemi, Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastian Vettel.

Toyota have also confirmed that they won't risk Glock, so we'll get another chance to see Kobayashi.

Just as long as he doesn't take any of the Williams cars off again.

I'd like to see Nico bow out on a high note with a podium, hopefully the tight twisty sections will see to that.

Captain Invincible will KERS to victory I fear.

I do think Kobayashi has a lot of potential and will be high up if that toyota performs well. I do hope he gets a good result.
