I think they would only understand one word of any discussion.
Hamilton. No offence to him there, just offending their pure ignorance.

I mean if you can go on Facebook and comment more than twice a day, I am sure you can find the F1 result at the pure minimum, if not watch the whole race.

Fair enough but I'm sure there's more than just Hamilton fans like that.

The whole of spain, and yes I do think this to be the case, support alonso not due to his ability but due to the fact he is Spanish. This isn't so far from the massive support lewis has brought in from young British fans, young girls fancying Lewis or even people just wanting to see a black man doing well in a sport traditionally seen as "white".

Oh I quite agree, Hamilton is without doubt an exceptional driver. Tarring all Spanish fans with the same brush is perfectly acceptable though :D

As for the Rookies comments, OK they might not be in race winning cars but how well has Grojean done compared to Alonso? now think how equal Lewis and Alonso was in 2007.

I am not a lewis fan by a long shot but you have to admit the guy has got a lot of talent, and this year I really did think he was gonna be in a world of pain with the dog that the Mclaren started out as. He never let his chin drop and has provided technical feedback enough to get the car to the front of the grid.

OK try to wrap your mind's around this! Yes Lewis is a great driver and anyone who doe's not recognize that is blind yet his loss of the '07 WDC was due to driver error/decision, not too be confused with team order's, because the DRIVER has the final decision of when to pit. I do not hold that against him as it only made him wiser as a driver and contributed to his racecraft, right?

Not sure about the 'black man' reference because the only reference I am exposed to via this forum is because he is British, which imo is a farce. I'm American but have alway's supported driver's because of their ABILITY and not because of where they are from.

That doesn't stop him being a role model. There are loads of black people in Britain taking an interest in Lewis Hamilton because he's damn good and it gives them a more direct form of inspiration.

Never said it does not.

Inspiration is great regardless of color, creed or race. This topic is not race related though so let's keeep that out of this discussion.

Skin colour's a sensitive issue for some still eh?

You said that you weren't so sure about the black man reference. The truth is, people look up to him because he's black and because he's british. It's not a farce.

Well to change the direction I stuck a few quid on Vettel to win the title at 10-1.

But Rubinho was 16-1!?? And Button 14-1 on.

So I think the bookmakers see that Vettel has the momentum and the Brawns are struggling..
