I feel sorry for the poor guy. He hasn't been racing since 1999. I mean, you might as well have asked Damon Hill to drive.

Looking back at a few other cases. When Pedro DeLaRosa drove for McLaren in 2005 replacing Montoya. He was straight on the pace, despite being out of racing for a few years. But that was because he driving during the friday sessions. Thus he was able to finish a respectable 5th. Badeor only drives during test days, and those are few and far.

I think teams should be forced to run a friday driver. Have a session on friday, where only drivers who aren't taking part in the race are allowed to drive. They can take care of things like trying out new parts for the car. That way, drivers are prepared to race, rather than being thrown in at the deep end, like 3 drivers have been this year.

I had a discussion with someone not long ago and suggested this, so I agree with you. However, testing just shouldn't be banned to begin with.

Bloody Santander sponsored races all have the same boring trophy! it's crap, the races should have their own designs. As for the race, cars that ride kerbs well will do will here so Red Bull won't be great. KERS will probably be the thing to have too

I love the Badoer comment about aiming for a top 8 finish; wasn't he aiming any higher than last place in the previous two races? Talk about setting your sights low!!!

With Force India coming to the fore, it's even harder to predict a winner for Monza, I'm sure McLaren and Ferrari will be strong, so will Force India should they retain the services of Fisichella. Brawn and Red Bull are hit or miss; the Brawns will struggle unless it's very hot in Italy, Red Bull could get a podium but I can't see them winning.

My prediction is that Kazuki Nakajima will claim his maiden race win starting from 20th on the grid! :yikes:

I've just travelled back from the future to tell you this vital information; get your bets in boys and girls! ;)

Wishful thinking, but stranger things have happened. At this race Hulkenberg should be wrapping up his GP2 title and if Sir Frank is wise enough I think this could be Nakajima's last race.

i think mclaren and force india will both run well, mclaren have good mechanical grip and the mercedes engine in the best on the grid.

I thought Monza was going to be a toughie for McLaren? Cos its fast, like Silverstone? No?:confused: So where'd i get that from?

Silverstone has fast corners, which require a good, stable aero package. Monza has fast straights, and slower corners, which are more dependent on mechanical grip. :)
