Just a reminder so that everybody knows who we're talking about :hehe:

What a girl!! And you guys dont want her

Thanks for the reminder!

Maybe the guys just want to have her prove she belongs in F1... rather than just get the license just because she's a chick. And hot.
But why would anyone assume she couldn't make it in F1, rather than she hasn't actually gotten a good enough offer??

Right now, i think she is safer where she is... but there might come a day when she gets bored of it, or gets a good offer and decide to go to F1... if she can drive fast enough, then good. In the meantime... keep those pics coming :D

Yeah, she decided not to go to F1 like Montoya decided to go to Nascar. If you don't get an invitation, you can't rightly say you have decided not to play. She would jump with both feet into F1 if anyone gave her a shot...but that hasn't happened....and very likely will not.

You dont know what invitations she has or hasnt had.

True enough. Neither do you. So you may continue to believe that because she is a hot woman who drives race cars...she has been offered a seat at the pinnacle of motorsport, while I may continue to believe that since she can't win in a far lower ranking of motorsport she isn't qualified enough to even receive an offer from F1, despite being all kinds of cuteness wrapped in a bow. Neither of us is right or wrong at this point, so we are both entitled to believe as we wish...and write it in here should the mood strike either of us.

She's not that hot. When you take out the airbrushing and make up, she aint that special.

As I said, too many American drivers are too comfortable racing in America. Especially when their top single seater series is not on parr with Formula One.

I hope USF1 goes along way to change this, because there are alot of talented American drivers who just need the right guidance and confidence to shine around the globe.

There is the 17yr old Kid named Alexander Rossi.. I think he's the American guy to keep an eye on. He's in Formula Masters now through the end of the season. I'm not sure what level of competition that is, but he's winning.

Danica would make it in Nascar, but I think she will make the most money in bringing IRL to the forefront. She is a marketing supertool!!

Diamond in the rough?

Yeah I think so. The Kid is fast in a spec car.

Mega, i'm going to take note of him. thanks for the pointer man
Where is he atm in Formula Masters?

You should take note of him! He's good, he won the Formula BMW title last year. Both the America series and the world final. He got to test a BMW F1 car as a result of that I believe.

Well I'm inclined to disagree with that but the real reason Danica isn't seeking an F1 drive (besides the fact that she probably wouldn't get one) is really because she's going to be driving in NASCAR. She's already made public statements regarding her willingness to drive in some lower NASCAR formulae to gain experience, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the deal is already done. She'll be a lot more popular and make a ton more money in NASCAR than she would getting kicked around in F1.

If she goes to nascar, that alone will probably kill the IRL. :D

Would anyone notice?

Of course she has put it down to family reasons...who wouldn't. Personally, I do not believe a female would survive the physical rigours of F1 and that is not a sexist attitude but a realistic assessment of gender physical differences.

A woman would have a little more padding if she had a crash

She's barely good enough for Mickey Mouse racing series in the US, so she's hardly good enough for Formula One. If Patrick was honest with herself, she'd know that, too.

She is currently in 5th in a field of 37, on a struggling team, ahead of all 3 of her team mates, explain to me how that makes her "barely good enough". I still don't believe that she is F1 talent, but she has proven to be better than two of the other very popular driver picks, Graham Rahal and team mate Marco Andretti. Hildebrand seems very average in A1GP, the best driver I can think of that still remains is the F1 tested Scott Speed. His run with Torro Rosso doesn't really mean much, Torro Rosso has a history of ruining the reputations of world class drivers with their slow cars and horrid team.

Well said!! She's better than most in Indy.

Well I've said it before, it's not like it's the elite field of motorsport drivers is it?

No, but to say She's barely good enough for it is untrue.

She's good enough for IRL, not Formula One though.

:P This isn't the return of the Spice Girls girl power and all that bishbosh. She shouldn't be let in F1 purely because of her umpalumpa or marketing abilities.

Granted. Neither should she be disregarded because of her umpalumpa.

And it was stated further back that she's barely good enough for Indy and thats untrue.

If she doesnt test or try F1 we'll never know how she'd have gone, we can only speculate.
