Merc... almost sounds tinny imo, compared to the others. Ferrari and Toyota don't sound all too great either, Renault sounds decent enough if i remember rightly. To be fair, none of the modern V8's actually sound that good compared to a lot of other cars/engines so it's all relative!
I don't know what they were thinking, the cosworth will be a dog just like it always has been.

Arguably the best-sounding engine ever.
Building an engine to an older specification doesnt mean building exactly the same engine. As long as it meets the old regulations...I'm sure Cosworth can 'interpret' the spec just as well as the other manufacturers.
I miss the V10s personally.
