the thing with Great Whites is they feed quite infrequently so while they are potentially immensely dangerous to humans, if you encountered one in a non-feeding phase, it would be a perfectly safe encounter and an amazing one at that

A problem could be to 'know' that the little fishy in front of you is not in mood for dinner :P

Free swim all the way, just for the sheer thrill of it. It would have to be a natural encounter, not like one where the shark is drawn to the boat by bait so you knew whether or not the shark was going to be agressive

natural encounter with a great white, hmm how would you plan this? people have had natural encounters off the coast of adelaide and not lived to tell the tale.

Or they were swearing to never go swimming again out there while persuasively wagging their right stump

you'd just have to get real lucky or observe a specific individual for a few months so you know where it's likely to be and when it's likely to be in the mood for eating people

problem is Great Whites bite to see if something is food or not. and that bite whether they come back to finish you off or not usually kills you.

It seems the Baskings do as the Hunchback whales... they come from the north every yr to mate and raise their fry off our east coast. Its something beautiful to wacth. I have seen them from up close (well, as close as the boat could get) and they are very playful and HUGE.

I also have fish tanks at home, and everytime i put my hand i the tank they 'taste' me. Wouldnt like to be tased by a Great white!
