Rain in monaco is a special special thing. I remember last year, I woke about around 8:00am and switched on the Porsche Supercup race that was on at Monaco and there was rain, so it meant F1 would have a wet monaco. It was like that moment when you wake up and open the curtains to see Snow everywhere.

If we get rain in Monaco again how amazing would that be.

Would be good. Seeing the Red Bulls flying in the wet.
I hope Brawn don't get many points. Don't get me wrong i like the team and think its great that they have managed to do so well but would love it to come down to the wire. And personlly think think Red Bull deserve it as much if not more.

I always do like Monaco (:
But I doubt very much mclaren will do as well as they usually do.

don't be so sure, we have good mechanical grip from looking at the sector times at baraca for the slower "mechanical" sections.

I quite fancy the Toyota's to do well actually... them, RB, Brawn and Ferrari will be the fastest cars, no doubt.

MONACO! Whoop! :sickman:

but seriously, I think either Brawn or Red Bull but not both. It depends on whether the Red Bull's mechanical grip is more of a factor than the Brawn's superior balance under braking. I'm gonna go with Red Bull as I think the bumps at Monaco will compromise the Brawns more.

As for KERS, people have been saying that if a Ferrari gets on to the front two rows in qualifying, they will KERS into the lead and hold it at least till the pitstops. Personally i think KERS will be a no-no as the cars are traction limited for too much of the lap and I'm not sure there's even room to KERS past people down to St. Devote

I'll be amazed if McLaren do any better here than at Spain or anywhere else as they seem to have poor traction and a vague turn-in, both of which are ruinous at Monaco. Plus as I said, I'm not expecting their KERS to be of any help either.

Ferrari stand half a chance as their car seems to have a good balance and reasonable mechanical grip if not aero. The turn in looks decent too although it's not looked great under braking...

I'm expecting Toyota to slip back over the course of the season, they always do and there have been no real changes to the way the team goes racing that would facilitate a change to this pattern.

2 weeks to go. Last year when my cruise ship stopped at Monaco I got to drive a Red Ferrari Spider around the F1 circuit - awesome experience

A few years back while visiting I drove the track in my FIAT Punto rental car, fun and the same parent company, but not the same horsepower or engine tone.... :)

Martin Whitmarsh has informed onlookers that an improvement in pace is expected from the McLaren-Mercedes cars in Monaco next weekend. The team has suffered from a miserable start to the campaign and currently lies fourth with just thirteen points in comparison to the sixty-eight scored by leaders Brawn GP.

Victory belonged to Lewis Hamilton on the streets of Monte-Carlo last year

With a lack of downforce from the MP4-24, the team predictably suffered in Spain on Sunday and scored no points. "After we were nearly on the podium in Bahrain, we knew where we were," said team principal Whitmarsh. "This was going to be a very difficult weekend; I think there are positives to take out of it, we have come a long way from where we were eight weeks ago and the other positive is: look at Lewis, what a fighter and what a great drive from him."

Hamilton made an instant impression when joining F1 in 2007, with a remarkable string of nine consecutive podium finishes in as many races from the start of the season, before going on to clinch the title last year. "He's always been in a winning car," Whitmarsh explained. "He's not at the moment and he's doing a fantastic job.

"Monaco is going to be different and we are going to be strong. We still have loads of work, it's not going to be magic, but we are definitely going to be stronger there and we are going to keep pushing this car to make it better. Monaco is a circuit that will suit us and we've got great drivers - Lewis is mega there."

Barichello is a bit more skilled than Button in my opinion.

I can think of at least 5 reasons to doubt that...

He's certainly more experienced, and he drivers very faster in some circumstances. They are both outstanding drivers, and saying one is better than the other is kind of crazy. No need for that, and it's a very good thing Ross Brawn decided not to favor any of his drivers for the world title. They're getting them both on the first three anyway, lol.

About Monaco, I bet on Vettel, or maybe Trulli if it rains. I'm crossing my fingers for Sutil too. It's about time FI gets some points.

Why Trulli if it rains? The Red Bull and Vettel are mega in the wet, where as Truli doesn't really like rain.
