Never liked him, but still can't believe he did it on purpose (and that just for one point!). At this point wouldn't be surprised to find more dirty politics involved.

Hopefully this will be followed up till the end - that is, full explanation from all sides.

That's a great decsion. McLaren are cheats. Misleading the stewards is cheating. As a result of once again getting caught cheating, McLaren should be penalised. So no giving 4th back isn't good enough. A penalty must be imposed to discourage future attemps at cheating. So disqualification is fair and Trulli the Italian is given his 3rd place back. One would think that after McLaren got caught cheating off Ferrari in 2007 that they would of learnt their lesson. I guess not. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Even without replays of radio traffic of Toyota and Mclaren (which FIA has)Lewis would have been screwed, for passing Trulli when he went offtrack. Now you hear reports that Lewis may not have been truthful with the stewards. One question I want to ask, why is Trulli running off the track under a SC/Yellow. :bs:

Oh, boo.

Don't bring that crap up.
The FIA/the stewards have got it wrong before,
we'll have to wait until more information comes out.

And even if Hamilton did lie,
it doesn't reflect on Macca.

Cold tyres, missed a brakin point due to shadows.

"It was my mistake when I went off. I was trying to slow down because this year we have a rule that you need to stick with a certain speed which is on the display. And on that particular part of the track I was caught out by a shadow.

We have the safety car line which gives you the exact time you have to do, so I was trying to respect that. I was trying to concentrate on that. I missed the braking point by a little bit with the cold tyres and I went a little bit wide. Obviously Lewis got me. Nothing wrong in that, because I obviously lost a position.

The problem came afterwards when, between turn 4 and turn 5, Lewis suddenly slowed down quite a lot. At this stage I didn't know why but my thought was that he was having trouble because he pulled over to the right side of the track, while he should have been on the left.

And he was slowing down more and more, so I overtook him at 80km/h. So we were basically stopped. And before overtaking him I went next to him to make sure that I was not breaking the rules. So what happened is that I went in front of him and I opened the radio to tell the team what was going on because I didn't want to get a penalty. And that's it. That's all I can say."

The FIA statement in part, "driver No 1 Lewis Hamilton and the competitor Vodafone McLaren Mercedes acted in a manner prejudicial to the conduct of the event by providing evidence deliberately misleading to the Stewards at the hearing on Sunday 29th March 2009, a breach of Article 151c of the International Sporting Code."

In one translation, the FIA is saying "Lewis, you are a cheater and a liar.. and so is your team."

His team McCheaters incouraged Lewis Hamilton to lie and mislead so I guess they cheaters to.

yadda yadda yadda AKR talk. i like how you always have to bring nationality into s*** to justify the world in your mind "Trulli the Italian" given his third place back. Fact is he lost "his" third place when he went off track. But again the way you carry on just represents your mindset and knowledge of F1. Youre just a tribal fan youre not an F1 fan! go watch your football if you want to get tribal you nutter!!

this drama is just further evidence of the lack of communication available for teams to race control in times of need or to the lack of knowing the rules or simply the inconsistency of the stewards rulings from race to race causing teams to not know basic rules.
On James Allens site was the Toyota team radio from the last few laps. it was clear from that neither Jarno or the Team knew the rules or what to do.
what should have happened was once Trulli went off race control should have clarrified to McLaren and Toyota who should be in 3rd. they didnt and they are to blame for yet another OFF track "race" result and further bad image to F1.
its really no wonder real race fans are turning away from F1 as racing is done off the track as much as it is on now days

Based on all the evidence I think it fair to ask everybody to remove all McCheaters pics from the forum. funny thing is I expected this kind of behaviour from him and it only proves what I said in a earlier post. his " luck of the irish" has run out. so has futile attempts in the past to push the boundaries with the stewards as well. maybe the mccheaters lambs needs a herder ???

Are you seriously blaming everone else for this and completely disregarding what Macca and Hamilton did?

luck of the Irish? since when has Lewis been Irish? and how lucky was he in 07? i would say to lose the title with an 18 point lead with two races to go is pretty unlucky if you ask me.......... further evidence of you just posting bullpoo Tony...... :irked:
