Yes congrats!!!! I bet Honda are slapping themselves right now.

The Honda board is kicking each other in the nuts and the chairman is contemplating harakiri :P:twisted:

Yeah, that was my first thought after qualifying :hehe:

I'm so happy for Brawn boys, after all the drama following Honda's announcement their withdrawal, it really could not finish any better for them as it is; and I think both drivers deserve a good chance. Jason never got opportunity to drive for competitive team, and Rubens, well, his run in Ferrari was shadowed by all-mighty MS.

Pity for Kubica and Vettel... Little Sebastian seems to be on the right path of becoming new MS attitude-wise (you don't over take me... ever!) but I still like him. For now. Kubica, well, he hardly did best possible job in that overtake attempt... guess they both got deserved.

But then again, I'm happy they gave Rubi a chance to finish second

hamilton look like there getting 3rd aswell now

Thats what I couldn't work out, Hamilton was in 3rd position when the safety car was deployed, yet Truli ended up with 3rd spot, did I miss something?

Cant understand why the commentators said nothing about it!

Racechick, the commentators did talk about it, both couldn't work out what had happened as the safety car had been deployed

Lewis did nothing special, a lot of cars dropped out of the race and obviously that means better positions for the cars behind :banghead::banghead::banghead: (So nothing special with his driving)
Kubica drove an amazing race no matter what, just a proof of how though the fight will be between Brawn and Kubica in the future........

Interesting, Kubica at his best managed to climb up one position from his starting point of 4th into 3rd before he crashed.
Hamilton started from the back of the line, with a crap car and made it to 4th maybe even 3rd.

Which one was better driving? I can admit that it was Lewis, and I'm far away of being a Hamilton fan, actually I hope anyone else rather win the driver's championship, including Kubica, but still you have to be blind to consider it was a smart move from Kubica. Or did they forget to tell him that championship is decided based on points and not victories.

Kubica was not racing for 2nd, he was racing for victory......
He was way faster then Button and Vettel and anyone who says that the cause of the crash was Kubica then :censored:

Well it wasn't just Vettel's fault! Kubica turned into the corner when Vettel was already there! What did he think was gonna happen? And I'm not just saying it was all Kubica's fault, either, but he was the one that turned into SV. He could have stayed wide that corner and had the better line into the next one, where he would have taken SV safely. Like you said, he was WAY faster, he didn;t need to push so hard. And look where it got him. And Vettel. GRR.

Agreed. Kubica really cut him off. Then again, most other drivers would hit the brake and let Kubica through (followed by middle finger gesture or something similar), but obviously not Vettel.

I like how you can come to that conclusion from one overtaking maneuver. Also, he was on the racing line... What else was he meant to do, move over onto the grass? Not that I'm saying it was just Kubica's fault.
Sorry.. don't meant to come over all moody and defensive. I'm still so annoyed about this lol.

was hoping kubica would run into vettel to give barrichello 2nd and the 1-2

Grr. The less said about that incident the better. And I'll just add that I've NEVER hoped someone would crash just so the guy I supports does better. I'd rather they did well out of their own merit.

But, as for Brawn GP, Button and Barichello - awesome stuff. F1 needed this so badly.

bad sport maybe, hoping someone crashes, although I used to wish it with Schumacher

but I was hoping that they would break each others wings so rubens would pass, kubica would have won I was thinking at the time so was releaved that he went out.

It is not conclusion, more like impression. Likely wrong, but we'll see.

Kubica was bullish in this overtake, but then again we have seen bullish overtaking (or defending) from Lewis, Massa... others... last year, and years before. They usually ended happily as other driver would slow down or cut to the grass. I think that would be smart thing to do from Vettel, being slower and having very sloppy turn thus loosing his momentum.

As much as I dont like Hamilton I agree that he drove extremely well today, same with Alonso. Actually just about every driver in the top 8 drove great today.

I still think drive of the day goes to Piquet though :P

Indeed! as a direct correspondent for Brawn GP, I am ecstatic. For those of us in Australia, it's time to get drunk! May-lay will be no different. Brawn GP is steadily aiming for another 1-2 finish next round. I'll give you guys trackside updates come race time- Versa

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that Kubica is unique in his approach, and I don't blame him for trying at all, it was just the way he tried. Vettel had the line, Kubica wasn't yet passed him... SV probably should have braked, but Kubica defiantly shouldn't have turned into him. Like I keep saying, RK could have waited and got past cleanly in another corner.
