my only slight annoyance is that they didn't bring Louise Goodman from ITV, she was good at her job.

As Broadcasters go, I don't rate her at all. Kravitz is better.

Louise would've loved to be broadcasting this year. More chances to interview Jenson :hehe:

I hope that there wont be any mid race interviews for Jenson this season.

Ready made replacement in Hamilton, so no worries. :hehe:

:( Go the Brits.

I've been pretty disappointed so far. Aside from Croft's mindless platitudes and inability to speak properly, Davidson's digressions and fetish towards Brawn, Jordan's nothings and cheap gibes, and Humphrey's non-existent knowledge about the sport, the coverage seems as though it's geared up for people who've never watched Formula One before in their lives. It makes for painfully tedious listening. Even the much vaunted Legard is annoying; he doesn't know when to shut up, so Brundle can explain a point of interest, and in trying to exciting, he comes across as melodramatic. To be honest, Allen was much easier on the ear. Sadly, he let himself down was his orgasmic bias towards British drivers.

What is this MF? Are you coming round to my opinion that James Allen isn't so bad?

I didn't like Legard always interrupting martin but as this is their first time working together I am willing to give them a bit of time to get used to each other. If they don't the Beeb should do the right thing and hire James Allen

If they don't the Beeb should do the right thing and get Murray out of retirement

Fixed for ya :P

LOL. Well I think that the Beeb already approached Murray and he turned them down. He is enjoying retirement and the freedom to make occasional appearances. However James Allen is ready, willing and able. But let's give Legard a chance before we all turn on him

Not quite. I think we needed a better commentator, but, so far anyway, he's less annoying than Legard.

chain intro - poor dont like the 3d cars, totally missed the point. just footage of real cars and crashing to the music, thats it! simple

Jake Humhrey, not really a fan just yet, when interviewing Lewis it was like he was talking down to Lewis.

Coulthard, liked his section on the evolution of cars and liked him live.

jordan, never really been a fan to be honest, theres some attidute problem.

legard, fluffed his very first words, got better, was ok talking when no cars where running, when they where got a bit excited and interrupted brundle quite a lot of times but willing to overlook that, although they didnt seem to acknowledge what each other was talking about. Brundle would be talking about something then Legard would just start talking about something else without agreeing, disagreeing or acknowledging brundle, I think its just because its early days, theyll get used to each other, 10000 times better than Allen.

Brundle, same as before, very good.

I like the option of the alternative radio commentary, might try that, davidson and the other guy where good in pracice I thought

my 2 cents worth :D

I liked EJ, makes a nice refreshing change from Mark "Cor blimey guv'nor!" Blundell. And Coulthard has exceeded my spectations too, I also think his short film about the changes on the cars was very well put together.

the anchor team must be travelling to each gp as DC and AD are 3rd drivers for teams. so they can not be staying in the UK

BBC has confirmed the anchors and commentators will all be traveling to every race.

DC is only a temporary stand-in for Red Bull though. As for Anthony Davidson, part of the reason Brawn have him as the stand-in and not Wurz (Who remains a team member) is because the BBC are paying his travel and expenses.

Jesus, the clocks going forward is gonna cause me a problem

BBC Coverage starts at 6am and the race starts at 7am. So is that under British Summer time? I really don't want to wake up an hour early...

Hi everyone,

John here from BBC Red Button.
Just thought I should point out what's going on on the interactive service tomorrow morning.

If you do fancy an alternative to the TV commentary, digital viewers pressing red and selecting 'Sport Multiscreen & F1' can listen to the 5Live team instead (feat. David Croft, Anthony Davidson and Holly Samos).

Also on the multiscreen there'll be a split-screen comprising the main network feed, an in-car camera feed and leaderboard plus rolling highlights.

For younger F1 fans we'll be running a dedicated CBBC stream with interviews, sketches and race info.

Finally, post-race, at 9am there'll be an interactive forum (also available on the website).

We have a Red Button blog running at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/pressred so any comments you have on the interactive coverage I'm sure our team in Sport would love to hear from you.

All the best whoever you're following this season, and good luck with the early start!

John Horth,
BBC Red Button
