it is not of appropriate content to be in General F1 Discussion.

Where should it be?

Put it back in the gutter where 8-ball found it.

I found this article in The Times of London. A very reputable paper in terms of their sports coverage. The story is probably crap and is just a disgruntled employee looking for revenge but I posted it for discussion.

I think that f1usa was suggesting it shouldnt have been posted in the General F1 section

Where should it go then?

Right, General F1 Discussion is like front page F1 news and posting such an article there gave it traction, when it seems to be tabloid trash. Post it in anything else section.

Then why was FA's parking malfunction posted on the General F1 Discussion? Not racing related either. Or BE's divorce proceedings or or or... So, you guys just get a grip.
That's why it's called General F1 Discussion! :director: For particular races we post individual threads within this General F1 Discussion forum.
The Anything Else forum is for things unrelated to F1 - RD last time I checked is still running some racing team in F1.
And for personalities that are formerly linked to F1 like, e.g., JV or RS, etc., we have the Formula 1 History forum.

People get sued for anything these days.

Sounds more like the US every day!! Actually the guy isn't going for a win, he's hoping to embarrass and harass Mclaren/Dennis into giving him a settlement of more than £8k. Unfortunately , if its anything like what happens in this country he'll get it.

From F1 Live:

Ron Dennis says 'ridiculous' claims by a sacked former employee that he is racist and homophobic have damaged his reputation.

The 61-year-old on Monday travelled to an employment tribunal in Southampton, as his former private airline steward Peter Boland alleges he was improperly dismissed amid untrue rumours he is gay.

Last week, the 27-year-old told the tribunal that Dennis, Group CEO of the Woking based outfit partly owned by Saudi-born Mansour Ojjeh as well as the Kingdom of Bahrain, had been racially insensitive to Arab business colleagues on numerous occasions.

Dennis said he decided to appear personally at the tribunal to address "lies that have damaged my reputation."

"My primary purpose for being here are to ensure these untruths are rectified," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph.

He called the allegation about him being racist an "absolute lie" and "ridiculous."

"I am here to defend my reputation which has been badly damaged. I am massively frustrated that things can be said and not challenged until they have been put into print," Dennis added.

Earlier on Monday, former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan said he has known Dennis well since the mid 1970s. "Ron is no racist; Ron is no homophobe; and Ron is a fantastic employer," the Irishman insisted.

From F1 Live:

As previously reported, Ron Dennis travelled to an employment tribunal yesterday to give evidence in the case brought by former McLaren employee Peter Boland. The former air steward had claimed unfair dismissal and labelled Dennis both a racist and homophobe.

Today Boland, who was employed by the firm between 2002 and 2007, read the following statement.

"I have decided to withdraw my action against Mr Dennis and all respondents in the case."

"I unreservedly apologise to Mr Dennis and all respondents, and to the Southampton Employment Tribunal, for wasting their time with what I now realise were unfounded allegations."

"In particular, I apologise to Mr Dennis for suggesting that he is, or was, either racist or homophobic, or that he ever made any remarks or performed any actions that would suggest that he was."

"I feel great remorse for the upset that I now realise I have needlessly caused to him, to his family and to his colleagues."

"Lastly, I will return the car, which was the subject of county court proceedings."

"I consider this matter now closed and will not be taking further action, or making further comments, in connection with it in the future."

Well, it seems as though Mr. Boland is fleeing his with his tail between his legs. :wavey:
