Jensen has just come across as a big headed sore loser in that article. Fair dues, he has had a bad car but surely a really, really good driver gets good finishes despite having a bad car? I mean it's ok for him to say that Hamilton wouldn't have done as well as Button did if Hamilton was in Buttons car...but I can guarantee you that Schumacher would've done loads better than Button did.

Schumi would have developed that car by himself to win multiple world titles!

Ok, I can see the statement that he would have won it in Hamilton's car. I could even concede that he would have won it last year in Hamilton's car. Button doesn't seem to suffer as much from the rookie mistakes and poor judgement. I can even concede that Hamilton's frustration at being a rear marker would have led him to do stupid things and without a car capable of pulling them off..would have finished worse. BUT, if Hamilton had a heart attack tomorrow....Button would be something like the 15th or 16th choice to fill his seat. You can't talk smack about being faster than the world champion when your 80 year old teammate consistantly dusts you off. No sir, before you can legitimately claim to be faster than someone who is driving a car you have never been in....you must at least be faster than the guy driving the same car as you.

This whole thing just seems funny to me. Button may have won the WDC in the McLaren, however it seems to me like there is also a bit of banter going on between the British drivers!

Hes jealous he had a similar thing to what happened to Hamilton with the media frenzy and saying he was the next Damon Hill/Nigel Mansell etc.. and he didn't do it.

I don't think Schumacher could have done much with a car that was being designed and developed in an uncalibrated wind tunnel!

More like the whinging. British drivers are the biggest gurns in Formula One history.

Haha I can't help remember the huge amount of Button merchandise and flags that were always present at Silverstone over the last few years - now they have suddenly Vanished.

Typical

Those Dulcet tones of Allen screaming "GET IN THERE" is just a long distance memory.

Three points Jenson. Three, measly points. Hamilton would've picked at least that amount up at Silverstone alone, regardless of what car he was in. So stop mouthing off; this is a lot more provocative than anything Lewis has said if you ask me.

Na I'd disagree - Hamilton in the wet races possibly, but Button ain't too bad a wet driver (Minus Silverstone this year)
Hamilton, Kubica, Alonso etc etc etc wouldn't have won in that car this year and would have struggled to be anywhere near the top 8 unless luck played a point.
Honda didn't make the effort - they better make it next year or their plan is a big FAIL!

You can't really actuarly compare you can only speculate.

Hamilton is as good as if not better than Alonso based on 2007 - take what you want from that but thats my opinion.

Alonso managed 2 Wins and mainly points Finishes in this years renault so its safe to say Hamilton could of managed similar.

Its a rough estimate to say this years Renault is like 2006's Honda in performance and Jensen managed to get a win and a few points finishes but if Alonso was in that Honda he would of done better i say a few more wins and more podiums based on his performance this year

Again this is all speculation but i think its educated speculation.

So, i think he might of been able to win it this year in the Mp4/23 but Alonso would of almost definitely been able to win it.

This is true - Alonso has proved he can win in a slower car.
Erm, Hamilton may have a poor car and we'll see what he can do. He wouldn't be a sloutch though.

I must admit I bought a Jenson Button williams cap  I was lost who to support that year without Damon :(

great drivers don't dream about what they would do with the best car, they get their heads down and do something about it. senna in 1993, schumacher 1996, alonso 2008. all great drivers who have won in what started the season as terrible cars. hamilton's time in a poor car will inevitably come, but i'm afraid jenson needs to ask himself why honda, with all their money and resources, are going through their longest ever losing streak.
