Ron
Lewis
First thing that crossed my mind was the discussion we had about favouring one of the teams drivers

I knew you would be on to this like flies to dung.

Hamilton may be allowed to keep some of his trophies, but that has nothing to do with Kovalainen's season being sabotaged. It has been shown on here numerous times that Kovalainen simply didn't do a good enough job.
Oh here we go
We're back on this one, he didnt go and never intended to. Call my bluff.
No. Lewis and Anthony Hamilton went in the huff because they couldn't get their own way. And who was the party who made the right call in the end? McLaren, of course.
Lewis isnt the first
Indeed, because Ron Dennis didn't resurrect McLaren's fortunes until 1981. Since then, though, the team has sought out the missing trophies, and has found a good few of them, and has had replicas made of some of the ones they were not able to locate or keep.
yup i'll name a mc/l driver that kept his troph from ron's case.alain prost!! he dropped into the crowd from the podium.i can't really rember the exact race but i get the feeling that it might have been the season ender.poss ad/aus.will look it up at some point.needless to say the ron was livid. burt.
He did that at the 1989 Italian Grand Prix after he announced he was moving to Ferrari, but that's not the same thing as actually being allowed to keep the trophies.
