He seriously better not go to BBC.

I don't think he will be doing. For the first time (that I've seen, at least) he posted a link to his own website at the end of his Shanghai verdict. I took it as an indication that he will not be commentating on the BBC next year.

Thats reassuring. I loved the picture of him and the commentary at the Monaco Gp on the "Official Fail" thread.

It does look like the only place he's going is on the dole, you'll be pleased to hear.

edit: didn't see the above post. I wonder if his site will have it's own forum? That could be a riot. :hehe:

Barrichello's experience mean he's still definitely got a hell of a lot to give Formula One, but he is at the age when drivers should normally have lost some of their raw speed. Either Barrichello is completely defying his age or Button has just underperformed. He has been completely owned by Barrichello this season. Personally, I'm enjoying it. Button annoys me and I like Barrichello. He's the last link back the generation of when I began to watch Formula One, as I said, is a quality driver and I feel he has been given a raw deal in his career. The promise of Stewart came to very, very little, so he was forced to go to Ferrari to be Schumacher's tea boy. There aren't a whole lot of drivers as good as Barrichello is/was that don't have a title to their name.

What has Jensense every done to you?

The only British driver to come along in recent years and have everything (that is, talent, speed, knowledge and a really great personality) is Anthony Davidson, and yet the teams with a free seat aren't even looking at him as far as we can tell! :(

Why aren't you counting Lewis Hamilton? He is a very nice guy. He even has his own charity for godness sake! :banghead:

Now, you see, that's a very good question. And my answer is quite simple:

I try unbelievably hard to. However, every time I start warming to his personality, he comes out with a comment that just makes me want to hit him. It's quite sad, really. It's not just him, mind - I get that with a lot of drivers. And you'll find I don't particularly like any of them. I don't dislike them, but that's about it.

I have the same issue. Webber and Trulli are two good examples. They're perfectly decent folk most of the time, but then they come out with some ridiculous comments that just drive me nuts.

If I was Button right now I'd be worried because Barrichello has totally outpaced him this season. And Bruno Senna has also earned himself a test drive when the season finishes, so if Button's not careful he might end up losing his seat if Senna shows great pace.

Barrichello and Senna would be a fitting duo, Rubens is now the most experienced driver of all time, he is Brazillian and also when he first made his debut back in 1993 the late Ayrton was his mentor.

But on the flip side Petrobras will probably end their relationship with Williams because rumour has it that Petrobras want to tie themselves to whatever team Bruno drives for. And Nick "Super Aguri killer" Fry is a suck up to Button and he'll probably do everything he can to keep Button onboard.

I think Button's brilliant but a Barrichello/Senna combination would be great :) Jenson could get a seat somewhere else even if he was booted out of Honda. I still think he's got half a chance of getting into a McLaren in 2010 if Heikki is booted out (not that I want that to happen though).

I don't think so. He is, like Alonso, very much damaged goods, unfortunately.

In the end though, he made a good decision to stay with Honda until 2006, because he got his first win. The mistake he did make was staying there until now, when he's pretty much trapped. After 2006 he could have gone to McLaren, I even heard Ferrari being mentioned, but he stayed at Honda. If anything they've failed both him and Rubens.

Their driver pairing was considered by some to be the best on the grid (apart from Kimi and Montoya) for '06. In '07 they were both thinking about a tilt at the title and got saddled, both last year and this, with a dog of a car. Granted it wasn't as bad at the start of this year, but they've gone backwards again. If they don't deliver in '09 both of these great drivers could end up out of a job.

Rubens is beating Jenson because he's fighting for his career. I can understand why Button is demotivated because each year he is promised a GP winning car and is failed miserably by the team.

Button likes to be a fuss-pot. Even when he was driving reasonably good cars, he still had something to pathetic to moan about. As I said before, Watson, Mansell, Coulthard, Button et al. are all gurns. They could go to heavenly Paradise and still find fault with something.

If Webber does not ever win a Formula One Grand Prix, he will be the most gifted driver in the history of the sport not to have done so. He's been unfortunate in that he's never had the equipment to fulfull his potential, but part of this has been caused by his big gob. Webber was on the McLaren short list for a race seat for this season, and would have got it, saying as there was no way McLaren could get, say, Rosberg, but he started shooting his mouth off about the team. :imwithstupid:
