Yeh but the fact he's British makes it that bit more special.

Not to me. Nationality isn't important to me in F1. I have no relationship to Brazil or Poland, yet I like FM and RK. I really disliked the Swiss driver Marc Surer, even though I'm Swiss. I also don't care for Mario Andretti or Scott Speed, even though I'm American.

That's the kind of outlook I have. I haven't ever backed an English (or indeed, British) driver for the title. The only team from around these parts that I have backed is Jordan. I tend to support those I like, not those who are my countrymen (and women, in the case of other sports). :)

To be honest, I don't give a toss where the champion is from, so long as he's driving a McLaren!

If hekki was champion tho i'd be just as happy.

Just saw this was DD's comment
Just becauses I am british and he is british, means nothing, as Chris stated earlier, I dont care what driver it is, nationality, anything, as long as its a Mclaren im happy

I really could not believe this, this is appaling favouratism for Ferrari. No way was Massa the victim but the perpitrator.

I am getting sick of F1 - no I have been sick of FIA and Ferrari for a long time.

I think the fact he is British is the worst part of it.
You know how it is when somebody in this country - somebody English - does well. Never hear the end of it.
It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Mclaren wins the titles this year, because they would have deserved it, but Hamilton Mania - no thanks.

I would listen to "Hamilton mania" if it meant McLaren won a title. That said, it's annoying to be a McLaren fan now. I was wearing my McLaren shirt yesterday and somebody asked was I a Hamilton fan? No! I'm a McLaren fan! Hamilton just happens to be an employee of McLaren!

Would the best compromise be Massa WDC and Mclaren WCC?

Or replace Massa with Kubica and say Kovalinen had a hell of a gd 2 races.
Massa and Hamitlon kept crashing into each other.
