I really like the way Damon Hill says "Felipe Massa". It sounded like a really nice dish at a posh restaurant or something ;)

Not something i'd order, but maybe it takes your fancy ;):hehe: He called Vettel, Stefan a few times. Good Job Damon!

I'd order a piece of FM's sweet arse, for sure! :whip::twisted:
And a fine Bordeaux to go with it...

"A bottle of red, A bottle of white, whatever kind of mood your in tonight..."

:P I can tell you'll be skipping the starters...

Too bad about James; he was pretty good when he was down in the pitlane. One of the more frequent things you heard Murray say was "James Allen in the pits".
I'm not too sure Damon would be available to work full time on the races, or want to be. From what I gather his plate is either full or decorated how he likes it.

It will be nice if he was commentating next year along with Brundle, that would be perfect.

Id agree with that combo. Missed damon unfortunately this time but i have it taped so that treat is to come. I was a huge fan of his too. That was the start of my dislike of Schuey.

Schumacher's first 2 championship years.
Bar the Imola tragedies, they were great seasons. And some great drives by both Hill and especially Schumacher.

I wish us american's had a choice as to what coverage to watch as I would love to hear Damon commentate, he is an ace bloke and someone I respect a great deal.

You never know, James Allen may join Speed Next year

I did not mean a commentator moving from one channel to another. It would be nice if we ALL had a choice as to what coverage we watch.

Interest in Formula 1 in America is back enough without James Allen being on TV!

I only half agree with EwmanM that Hill's commentary today was poor. Yes, he did forget a lot of names and there were some awkward pauses, but he made up for that with some insightful comments throughout the coverage. Also, as 7Up says, it is only his second time commentating on a race. Given a wee bit more practice, he could do a very good job. I'd rather listen to Hill than that tosser Allen.

Incorrect, he was a commentator for F1 Digital + in 2004.

I hated his commentary back then, for some strange intergallactic reason I enjoyed it last race, thought he did a great job.

Could have been my new sound system however ;p

I see. I didn't know. In that case, you'd think he'd have learned to be a little better with names. :hehe:

You obviously weren't one of the fools that paid £12.95 a race to have F1 from 8 different feeds all day Saturday and Sunday...

I was and I loved every second of it...

I didn't know F1 digital was still going as far back as then! I thought it went off the air in 2003!

You are probably right mate, it only lasted one year, much to my dismay.

Just so happened to be a year where Schumi was lapping everyone 15 times and handing wins to his partner, not a good year for it to catch on in the UK :hehe:
