Sorry... I'm a newb here, but I'm just glad to find a forum with some reasonable posts.

Anyway, here's my two cents:

-Of course Irvine and Barichello were there to promote championships for Michael - not that he needed that much help - but they weren't the first guys in that position.

-The pass on HK was obvious. Don't get offended, it just was. This is F1 today, love it or hate it.

-As a die-hard Ferrari fan, and it makes my skin crawl to say this, McLaren has the better car this year.

So McLaren fanboys need to get off this kick like Hamilton is the second coming and realize that he is a participant in the sport as it is today (I think he'd be even better if his daddy would get out of his spotlight a little), i.e: in '05 and '06 McLaren couldn't drive 2 laps without blowing an engine and suddenly in '07 they're as fast as Ferrari... ask Fernando, the sport has changed.

AND,

Ferrari nuts need to stop acting like we're entitled to championships just because the car is red. When you have the greatest driver in the history of the sport, you win championships... when you don't, well, you have to actually work for it.

So, after all that.... what the hell is happening with Kubica?

This is the most pathetic post I have every seen, anywhere, on any subject, since the early days of the Milnet much less the commercial internet.

Hiekki being slower then his team mate and running different parts on his car...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...we never saw anything like that at Ferrari.

I have to go puke now....geezuz...

This had been argued to death so please let it die. As for what's been going on lately, the spirit of why this forum was created in the first place has been misplaced by some lately. This forum is created for one purpose, to share our passion and our love of F1, wether you are black, white, newbie, veterans, cats, dogs, cows whatever, all are welcome and all opinions are respected wether you agreed or not but still respected. Hurling insults is not an opinions but rather a direct attack on an individual and yes this forum like many still have rules and regulations that we all must obey, get your point across is providing facts and opinions, calling someone an bottom, ignorant, or whatever because they don't see the world through your eyes is a reflection on yourself and not this community. I don't like the fact that everytime a newbie joined, they are attacked because of their lack of knowledge of F1, we need to educate them and show them the true passion of an F1 fan. Remember, this community was created so people from around the World can share their passion, think about this before you type next time.

I think that all of the Mclaren fans are passionate supporters of their team and that sometimes clouds their vision of the facts and that goes for Ferrari, Renualt, Williams and every other team and all the drivers that everyone supports. Very few people on this board can take an objective view but that what makes this forum great. Without any heated debate on the issues what is the point of logging in? What unites us is our love of F1 and hatred of Max Moseley! :D

Eh, I'm a McLaren supporter, and whilst I think that Hamilton is a good up and coming young driver, I don't think he is the second coming and I think that his personality stinks. Ask anybody on this forum who's been here for a fortnight and they'll tell you that.

Is there any Toyota fans on the Forum?

*Tumbleweed passes by*

Good one. :D

Welcome, and let me pass down to you the forums official Noob jesters crown.

I think its simply that BMW are just a step behind in development. It looks like they caught up for a while but then Ferrari and McLaren stepped ahead again with Mclaren taking a bigger step to pull even or a bit ahead of the red squad. Also from what I understand Kubica and Heidfeld prefer distinctly different set-ups for the car, it may be difficult to develop the car to suit both styles of driving. Perhaps some fundamental changes have been made recently that suit Heidfeld better. Just my thoughts , perhaps some hardcore BMW fans know more?

Welcome fellow Californian :) Its not that Heidfeld is struggling with the car setup, he just had a hard time with his tires but he claims he's gotten over that problem.

Thanks for the clarification. As an aside, I'm not too far from you in Santa Barbara, maybe I'll see you at Laguna in October for ALMS. :drink:

You had better be.

by the way I think this post is crap (not yours Hannah the person who started the thread). I hope Ron Dennis gives heikki more team orders to let Lewis win again and again and again. McLaren are no different to Ferrari. Its a team sport anyway. If Ron Dennis had the mentality of half the McLaren supporters on this forum, McLaren would never win anything. Luckly (for McLaren) that Ron Dennis is smarter than that and thinks like me. Shifty and devious.

Ah yes I love Santa Barbara, I drove through there when I went to the Long Beach GP. I love the college chicks
