yes i agree but they are british papers and its not recently that britain have had some big sport based achievement happen!! i think the last was the world cup however many years ago!

No but Wimbledon is probably one of Britains Proudest tounaments and greatest traditions So I think the winner of it fully deserves the front page. Lewis hasnt won anything really yet. when he wins (if he wins) then he will get the front page. As for football... pfft. and your forgeting England in the Rugby world cup and England in the Ashes recently

what i find annoying about the British press is in F1 when a Scot wins he is British but when a English wins he is English

Heh, I was telling my GF that on the weekend. She asked me where DC was from and I said "Depends if he's winning or losing".

Back to the OP, yes I think Hamilton has answered his critics, he has been temporarily forgiven but if he slips up again it certainly wont be forgotten.
