Also I'd love Kubica to be champion, but realistically it won't happen (despite him being driver of the year!)
Out of the 3 title favs. Massa is driving more like a world champion than Kimi and Lewis (although Kimi can't help his run of poor luck) Massa is plugging away and he made some mega passes today!

Whilst I doubt Massa's overall quality, you have to give him his dues. He's stopped making his infamous gaffes and has kept his nose out of trouble. Kubica is definitely driver of the season, but I can't see him winning. The BMW isn't as fast at the McLaren and Ferrari and I'm not sure that BMW have the legs in the development department. 2009 and/or 2010 could, however, be interesting.
You're right man. Terrible thing to say by Lewis. Almost bad loserish?
See I think Mclaren's chances of the constructors are slipping. It's not Heikki's fault he not expected to lead the team. Hamilton's botching it up. I'd like Mclaren to turn it around, want a bit of a fight, but at this rate, it's gonna be Ferrari.

Hamilton's arrogance and selfishness is revealing itself again. Of course, I know of one or two on here who will still deny this. Regarding Kovalainen, I think he has the pace to mount a challenge to Hamilton and for the title, but his luck has been dodgy, so he can't be blamed too much for only having fifteen points so far this season. Hamilton, however, has not been great on the whole since the end of 2007. Yes, there have been moments of brilliance, but his arrogance and inexperienced have manifested themselves on quite a few occasions. I don't think he's ready to be a team leader. McLaren are missing experienced guys like Hakkinen or Alonso for sure. Generally speaking, I was thinking McLaren would be second fastest this season, behind Ferrari, due to the fallout of last year, but I'm a little frustrated, for I feel that in terms of points, McLaren should be a good bit closer to Ferrari. Twenty points is looking slightly ominous at this stage, what with BMW sure to throw a spanner in the works sometime. I've not lost hope, but I've also got to be realistic of the team's chances.

See man not to belittle the championship fight. But don't you feel that Hamilton is being kept in it due to Kimi and Massa's inconsistency? I mean if Schumi was still in the car... he'd be far away by now with the car advantage I still believe Ferrari have.

If you factor in the bad luck and mistakes that each of those drivers have made, it works out more or less the same. I do, however, agree with you that if Schumacher, or indeed any other quality driver, were in the Ferrari, that they would have a decent lead over Raikkonen, Massa and Hamilton.

Take for example if Kubica or Alonso was in that car?

I'm not sure it is fair to say that Massa is being inconsistent, though he may head down that path once more later in the season (I hope not). Since his cock-ups of Australia and Malaysia, he has scored thirty eight points. Kubica has scored thirty four since then, whilst Raikkonen and Hamilton have both scored twenty four. Massa has scored in every race he has finished, like Kubica, whilst Raikkonen and Hamilton have not. He has, so far at least, been one of the most consistent drivers since then.

And surely now at this point, title favourite?

For the moment, yes. Despite Kubica being in the lead, I don't think he and BMW will win more than another grand prix in time. They may well have their chance at Valencia or Singapore, new circuits where everyone is starting from scratch, but between now and then there will be a lot more Ferrari and McLaren victories. If certain drivers don't shape up, Massa could take this title.

Look it this way. Last year Massa was disqualified for leaving the pitlane whilst it was red. Just cause there was a Ferrari to stop Lewis from jumping the light, does it mean he should go unpenalised. I think 10 place disquali next race/

Bud! Not hating anyone - just that he will get nothing from his silly mistake, and maybe he shouldn't. His apologies to Kimi were pooling, absolutely pooling. I Don't even think Hamilton sees it as beeing his mistake... ITV also shows no press confrence unless Hamiltons there - Coulthart was there today!!!!

Oh PLEASE! they showed the winner cos that was all they had time for, and had it been hamilton, and they cut after him wouldnt that have been GREAT for folk to have another go. I hate it when they cut the press conference, i was dying to see what Heidfeld said cos he looked seriously pissed!
Yes lewis made a mistake, no question, but he was the biggest looser cos he was blitzin everyone on that track. Kimi screwed up last race. It happens, its motor racing.

Personally, I think the biggest loser in that situation was Rosberg, because I don't think he'll get too many more chances to fight for those kind of points this season, whereas Lewis and Kimi are in two of the best cars on the grid.

Yes probably true but it was nico's own fault. He has eyes and brakes. Whereas sutil last race was completely innocent and he wont get that chance again.
