But pitstop strategy is in all form's of racing thus your animosity is strictly biased to F1?There weren't and pitstops in F1 between the late fifties and mid nineties, and there aren't any in GP2, F3, BTCC, and so on. Now it's not that I don't appreciate a well-worked strategy, but I'd much sooner see drivers beat each other on the track.
If you believe that then ignorance is bliss, strategy has been apart of motor racing since it's inception. Exactly how long have you watched motorsport's or been a fan?
Long enough, now don't patronise me... I did miss out pitstops for tyres, but that's not quite the same thing. My point is that passing people in pitstops is the least interesting way to win a motor race, and I'd prefer a driver to show his brilliance during the race than in the debrief room beforehand.
